Dr. Michelle McMacken - Woman on a Mission, Powered by a Passion for Plant-Based Nutrition

The Healthy Harmony Podcast show

Summary: Michelle McMacken, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician and an assistant professor of medicine at NYU School of Medicine. An honors graduate of Yale University and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, she has more than ten years of experience practicing primary care, directing a medical weight-loss program, and teaching doctors-in-training at Bellevue Hospital Center in NYC. Michelle is an amazing human being. This was the first time that she and I had really sat down to have a full conversation, and I instantly fell in love with her enthusiasm for, and dedication to, spreading a message of health to those in need. In this podcast, we talk about how she first began promoting plant-based nutrition to her patients, and why she is committed to educating patients, medical students, and doctors about the power of healthy eating and lifestyle modification. Michelle works with a unique population, and has been impressively successful in her work - not only with her own patients, but also in getting her colleagues to embrace the healing power of plant-based nutrition as well. I had a lot of fun sharing in this conversation with Michelle - you will probably be able to tell. She has a vibrant energy about her that is infectious, and she's such a source of knowledge, compassion, and enthusiasm. I hope you enjoy it and are inspired by the work that she does - I most certainly was! To follow or contact Michelle: instagram @veg_md twitter @veg_md
