Summary: Dr. Robert Ostfeld is a cardiologist, the founder and director of the Cardiac Wellness Program at Montefiore, an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the Associate Director of the Cardiology Fellowship at Montefiore. I first met Rob during my time working with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and through our multiple interactions (and also just both being totally passionate and nerdy about plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine) we have become good friends. I am continuously inspired by Rob and the work that he does. I’ll let you hear the stories from him, but he’s done a LOT to help people prevent and reverse their heart disease, and in one of the biggest hospital systems in New York City, no less! The momentum of his projects just keep perpetually building. When you see that he did his schooling at upenn and yale, and his residency at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital, you know that he’s a smart dude.
