Summary: After Jesus rose from the dead, He appeared to two men as they were walking on a road. Later these two men told more of Jesus followers that He was alive.<br> These followers were together and <em>Jesus himself came and stood among them. He said to them, Peace be with you</em> (verse 36b). Jesus followers were afraid and thought He was a ghost. Jesus told the followers to not be afraid and to touch Him. <em>You can see that I have a living body; a ghost does not have a body like this</em> (verse 39b). Then Jesus followers believed that He had risen from the dead.<br> In John 20:29, Jesus told His followers, <em>You believe because you see me. Great blessings belong to the people who believe without seeing me!</em> Jesus was talking about you and me. We cannot see Him today, but we can read about Him in the Bible. And we can know for sure that Jesus rose from the dead.<br> Because Jesus rose from the dead, we have the hope of living forever with Him!
