Church on the Move Podcast show

Summary: Zechariah 13:7 Smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. Abraham is the Father of Faith! Acts 7:2 ISV Stephen replied, "Listen, brothers and fathers. The glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham while he was in Mesopotamia before he settled in Haran." "If there had been anything, anything at all, in Abraham to attract God, it would be that the perfection of God could be satisfied with imperfection in a creature." -Donald Barnhouse Romans 3:10-11 ISV 10 As it is written, "Not one person is righteous. 11 No one understands. No one searches for God." Joshua 24:2-3 NIV 2 Joshua said to all the people, "This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'Long ago your forefathers, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the River and worshiped other Gods. 3 But I took your father Abraham from the land beyond the River and led him throughout Canaan and gave him many descendants.'" Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV 1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Isaiah 51:2 NKJV Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him. God is confident that His work in us and through us is effective enough to undo any damage done to us by our families! John 7:1-5 ISV 1 After this, Jesus traveled about in Galilee, for He didn't want to travel in Judea because the Jews were trying to kill Him. 2 Now the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was approaching. 3 So His brothers said to Him, "You should leave this place and go to Judea, so that your disciples can see the works that You are doing. 4 For no one acts in secret if he wants to be known publicly. If you're going to do these things, you should reveal yourself to the world!" 5 For not even His brothers believed in Him. Genesis 15:1-6 NKJV 1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." 2 But Abram said, "Lord God, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?" 3 Then Abram said, "Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!" 4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir." 5 Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." 6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
