The new Cadillac CT6 is unveiled at the New York Auto Show — one of the eight vehicles the company will launch by the end of the decade as part of a multi-billion dollar product investment. (Ellinghause) “We needed a completely new approach to premium luxury.” Cadillac’s Uwe Ellinghause says the new flagship full-sized sedan offers a lightweight body and a 3-liter twin turbo V-6 that’ll put 400 horse and a ton of luxury and tech inside with a pedestrian mitigation system to avoid hitting not just cars, but people… (Ellinghause) “It provides pedestrian detection indication alerts – and automatic breaking.” The CT6, in show rooms by the end of the year. And one of its rivals, the new Lincoln Continental concept, also unveiled last week — with Bentley designers calling it a blatant rip-off of their own Flying Spur.
