Summary: LISTEN HERE: LAZF 2015 “Old School, New School” Panel Discussion As part of LA Zine Fest 2015, I was asked by Daisy Noemi to host a panel. It was named “Old School, New School” and billed as a “friendly, lively panel discussion between longtime and newer zinesters. They'll share stories of veteran experience and newer zinester enthusiasm, look at the changing landscape of zine culture, and talk about the current challenges and celebrations of making paper zines.” This podcast is that audio file. It was a great, fluid conversation and a wonderful day. Thanks to the four rad zinesters who participated, to the nice lady who let me plug into the board to capture the audio, to Jenn Witte of Feminist Library On Wheels for getting me in contact with Suzy Mae, and to Jen Hitchcock of Book Show for introducing me to Sabrina Dropkick. If you enjoy the podcast, do yourself a favor and check out the zinesters on the panel, all of whom I highly recommend: Larry Harmon: Genetic Disorder (website) Sabrina Dropkick: EAT Art DIY (tumblr, instagram, twitter) Suzy Mae Mattay: Creative Director, Sandy The Zine (website) Johnnie Jungleguts: Do Whatever The Fuck You Want Until the Humans Make You Stop (facebook, instagram) –Todd Taylor LISTEN HERE: LAZF 2015 “Old School, New School” Panel Discussion To download the file to your computer, right click the link below and select "save target as..."
