Summary: Listen here: Emily Rose Epstein Interview MP3 Emily Rose Epstein is an amazing musician, artist, and writer. We met when she was nineteen and she volunteered for Razorcake. She's been busy. She's worked at Thrasher and Alternative Tentacles, DJ'd at KUSF (RIP), and joined—and now is on hiatus from—the Ty Segall Band and Mikal Cronin. (There's a lot of overlap and band member entanglement between the two.) She currently works down the street from Razorcake HQ at Permanent Records, helps with her dad's jazz club, and is in two bands (currently without names): a hardcore band and an old country band. Her approach to music is deep, varied, nuanced, and exciting to watch. She's respectful of what's come before, but she uses it as a catalyst and an extensive palate to make intrepid, engaging music. We talk about the Gun Club, Motörhead, The Cramps, and Battalion Of Stains, how not to act when cops pull the vehicle over, but what to say if they ask if you worship satan. Good times. Songs: “I Bought My Eyes” and “Diddy Wah” (a Bo Diddley cover), both off of Slaughterhouse (In The Red) To download the file to your computer, right click the link below and select "save target as..." It's a hefty file, so it may take some time to download to your computer. To play the file without downloading (it depends on your computer's configuration for playing music files), just click it. Your media player should recognize what to do with an mp3. (If it doesn't, you're on your own.) Listen here: Emily Rose Epstein Interview MP3
