Summary: LISTEN HERE: Twelve Hour Turn Top Shelf Interview MP3 If there was ever a record that I feel like I played on but am not in the band, it's Victory of Flight.I met the Diem brothers in the early summer of '97, they were wide eyed and so full of enthusiasm it was contagious. Seeing their band, Twelve Hour Turn play a few times that summer, I was sold. Awesome! After another year or so, a few singles and a solid split LP with I Hate Myself, Twelve Hour Turn was ready to put to tape what turned out to be Victory of Flight. They had asked me where to record and I suggested Steve (Heritage) in Tampa, as I had just had a great experience with him. At some point I remember committing to go down there with them to the studio, but I ended up on tour, and they ended up having a tough, tough time; as you will hear. Part of me always loves adversity—it somehow adds to the finished product. It's kind of interesting to always have something to gripe about; it definitely made for a great interview. I hope you enjoy this. It is by far one of my all-time favorite records…victory of myself…indeed! –Matt Sweeting LISTEN HERE: Twelve Hour Turn Top Shelf Interview MP3
