Summary: How far should churches go to be “relevant”? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. No doubt you’ve noticed how evangelical churches have changed over the last couple decades. Music, lighting, dress, and sermons, are carefully managed to make Christianity seem “with it” to the current generation. The apostle Paul said, “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.” Paul went along with some customs of his audience but was careful to never lessen God’s glory or leave out the full truth of Scripture. We must trust that the power to save ultimately comes from God, not from tweaking the message or the method.
