The Speech Suppression of Political Correctness (Feb. 2-8, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

Keep your Christian views to yourself or else.  This is David Wheaton with The Christian Worldview Radio Program. Political correctness is defined as “demonstrating progressive ideals, especially by avoiding vocabulary that is considered offensive, discriminatory, or judgmental, especially concerning race and gender.” There are two additional subjects that political correctness demands nary a discouraging word be spoken about: Islam and homosexuality. And yet silence under the pressure of political correctness only ensures that people won’t hear what they desperately need—God’s redeeming Word.  Christians need to boldly speak the truth in love—motivated by a compassion for souls who are believing a lie. Hear an interview with Franklin Graham about political correctness at TheChristianWorldview.org And then tune in this weekend for another topic that will sharpen your faith.

How Political Correctness Stifles Necessary Truth | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:49

Guest: Franklin Graham, president, Samaritan’s Purse Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor…”  Ephesians 4:25 Political correctness is defined as “demonstrating progressive ideals, especially by avoiding vocabulary that is considered offensive, discriminatory, or judgmental, especially concerning race and gender.” In our day and age, there are two additional subjects that political correctness demands nary a discouraging word be spoken: Islam and homosexuality. Which is surprising considering how Islamic jihadists murder and terrorize all over the world, and how the homosexual movement in America seeks to punish individuals and businesses who take a stand against it.  One would think that speaking up would be the right thing to do. Franklin Graham, president of the international Christian relief and evangelism organization, Samaritan’s Purse, is well aware of the speech boundaries put up by the “PC Police.”  He has been lambasted as an “Islamophobe” for speaking out against Duke University’s decision (since rescinded) to allow the Muslim Students Association to broadcast their Friday call to prayer over the campus’ chapel bell tower. Franklin will be our guest this weekend on The Christian Worldview.

 The Real State of Our Union ( Jan. 26 – Feb. 1, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

What makes a strong nation?  This is David Wheaton with The Christian Worldview Radio Program. In his State of the Union address last week, President Obama opened by saying, “The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong.” But is that really the case?  A nation may have wealth and military might, but what if the foundation of society—the God-designed family, with a father and a mother raising children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord—is becoming increasingly rare? If a nation’s strength is defined by the health of its families, our country is in trouble.  And the first step is to examine ourselves to make sure our hearts, lives, and families are right before the Lord. Hear an interview about the real state of our union at TheChristianWorldview.org This weekend, Franklin Graham will be our guest on the program.

What Really Is The State of Our Union? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:50

Guest: Bryan Fischer, host, Focal Point “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”  Proverbs 14:34 In the opening lines of President Obama’s State of the Union address this past Tuesday, he said the following: “America, for all that we've endured; for all the grit and hard work required to come back; for all the tasks that lie ahead, know this: The shadow of crisis has passed, and the State of the Union is strong.” (full transcript here) But is that true?  Has “the shadow of crisis passed” in our country?  Is the state of our union “strong”?  What exactly defines a strong nation? This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will hear sound bites and discuss the content of the President’s address and seek to understand from a biblical perspective just how strong our union is and how pleasing this nation is to God.

Islam Pushing In Our Doors (Jan. 19-23, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

Islam pushing in our doors.  This is David Wheaton with The Christian Worldview Radio Program. The world recently witnessed in Paris yet another Islamic rampage, and responded with a rally in support of free speech rather than to denounce the ideology that inspired the attack. Days later, Duke University, a private, historically Christian college, made the decision to allow the Muslim students association to broadcast their Friday call to prayer over the campus chapel bell tower.  The school has since changed their mind. The world needs to understand that whether by using violence or the cover of religious freedom, Islam seeks world domination. And Christians will need to heed Paul’s words, Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong … and do it with grace and truth. Hear an interview about Islam at TheChristianWorldview.org Tune in this weekend for another topic that will sharpen your faith.

Why The World Has No Answer To Islamic Jihad | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:46

Guest: Pastor Mark Durie, author and international conference speaker on Islam Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13 The world witnessed yet another Islamic rampage in Paris recently, and responded with a large rally in support of free speech rather than denouncing the Islamic ideology that inspired the attack. Soon after, Duke University, one of the highest rated academic institutions in the country, made the decision to allow the Muslim Students Association to broadcast the Friday Islamic call to prayer over the campus’ bell tower.  They said it was due to their “commitment to religious pluralism.”  Duke has since changed their mind, citing “security threats.” Islam continues to advance in violent and non-violent ways, and the West seems to have no understanding what is taking place or how to respond.  Fortunately, our guest this weekend does.  Mark Durie is an Australian pastor who has written three books on Islam and speaks all over the world on the religion.  He will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to explain “Why The World Has No Answer To Islamic Jihad.”

 Why Are You A Christian? (Jan. 12-18, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

Why are you a Christian? This is David Wheaton with The Christian Worldview Radio Program. We often ask another believer how he/she became a Christian, but asking why may be an even better question to discern someone’s true motivation for believing in Christ. Responses such as, “I wanted to be on the same page as my spouse” or “I needed a change in my life” are results of genuine salvation, but tragically don’t lead to it. The foremost reason why we need to become Christians is because we are dead in our sins and have no way of being forgiven and reconciled to God apart from Jesus Christ’s work on the cross. Every faith story should recognize our sinfulness and the turn to Christ in repentance and faith. Hear more about the motivation for salvation at TheChristianWorldview.org. This weekend we’ll discuss why the world doesn’t understand Islamic barbarism.

Why Did You Become a Christian? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:15

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14 The most important decision one can make in life is to “receive Christ” (John 1:12).  It is a life- and eternity-changing decision, one that involves both God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility (John 1:12-13). The decision is so major, the circumstances leading to it so varied, and the result so dramatic that Christians often ask each other: “How did you become a Christian?” Asking the “how” question of salvation is certainly good, but asking “Why did you become a Christian?” may be a better way to not only understand the how of another’s  faith story but to discern whether that person truly has been “rescued … from the domain of darkness, and transferred … into the kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13). There is really only one “why”, one motivation that leads to genuine saving faith.  What is it?  We will kick off the first LIVE program of The Christian Worldview in 2015 discussing this most important topic!

 Heaven Is For Real (Jan. 5-11, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

What to make of a child’s vision of heaven? This is David Wheaton with The Christian Worldview Radio Program. Heaven is for Real, the bestselling book and hit movie, has transfixed readers and viewers with an account of a near-death vision of heaven by a four-year-old. It is notable that the apostle Paul saw a vision of heaven but refrained from describing it.  And Lazarus was actually raised from the dead and yet nothing is recorded about his time in heaven.  This should give serious pause to anyone claiming a similar experience. In Scripture, particularly in Revelation 21-22, God has given us the description of heaven that He wanted, and His depiction is infinitely more accurate and glorious than someone’s personal testimony.  Heaven is for real, but let’s base our view of it on God’s Word rather than a child’s. Hear more at TheChristianWorldview.org This weekend we’ll discuss why one becomes a Christian.

Heaven is for Real. Yes, But I “Got Questions” About That. – rebroadcast from 05/03/14 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:31

Guest: S. Michael Houdmann, founder, GotQuestions.org I know a man in Christ who…was caught up to the third heaven…and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. (1 Corinthians 12:2,4) The Bible contains much that is profound and complex for our finite minds to understand.  Questions naturally arise such as: What is the character of God? Is Jesus the only way to God? Do heaven and hell exist? In addition, a seemingly inexhaustible list of other questions arises on topics like marriage and divorce, homosexuality, women in the church, God’s plan of salvation, and many, many more. Asking questions is a good thing.  The good news is that the Bible, God’s Word, provides answers. S. Michael Houdmann, founder and CEO of the question-and-answer website, GotQuestions.org, will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss some of the crucial and common questions his ministry receives and answers, including the increasing incidence of Christians claiming supernatural experiences and direct revelation from God in light of the popularity of the book/movie, “Heaven is for Real.”

 Jesus in the Old Testament? (Dec. 29, 2104 – Jan. 4, 2015) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

So where is Jesus in the Old Testament?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. The answer is that Jesus is everywhere in the Old Testament!  On the first pages of Scripture, God killing an animal to provide covering for Adam and Eve after they sinned points to Jesus’ dying for our sin.  The ark of Noah points to Jesus saving us from judgment.  The bread that God provided to the Jews during the Exodus points to Jesus statement that He is the bread of life. The progressive revelation of Christ throughout the entire Old Testament confirms that Jesus is who He said He was: the prophesied Savior of mankind. Hear an interview about this with Todd Friel, author of Jesus Unmasked, at TheChristianWorldview.org. This weekend, we’ll discuss the book and movie, Heaven is For Real.

Jesus As He Is (Not As The World Portrays Him) – rebroadcast from 09/20/14 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:49

Guest: Todd Friel, author, Jesus Unmasked He was never the president of a nation or a military conqueror.  He had little money and lived just 33 years.  Yet Jesus Christ is the most well-known and influential person to ever walk the face of the earth. The four gospels in the Bible are biographies of Jesus’ life.  Scores of other books have been written about Him to discover who He really is.  Is Jesus primarily a champion for the poor and oppressed?  Is Jesus mainly a role model for us to “be good”?  Is it even possible to gain an accurate understanding of Jesus, a man who lived 2000 years ago and who has been defined and redefined so many different ways? Todd Friel, our guest this weekend on The Christian Worldview, will answer these questions and others about the true identity of Jesus.  Todd is the host of the syndicated radio and television programs called Wretched.  Todd will show that all of Scripture points to Jesus the Christ, from the Old Testament to the New, and that Jesus is who He claimed to be—the Son of God and Savior of mankind. NOTE: For a limited time, we are offering Todd Friel’s just-released book, Jesus Unmasked, for a donation of any amount to The Christian Worldview. "Jesus Unmasked will strengthen believers in their faith, and will convict and convince unbelievers to repent and trust in Christ.  The book is highly-readable and is marked by Todd’s trademark wit." - David Wheaton

What Did the Shepherds Really Hear? (Dec. 22-28, 2014) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

What did the shepherds really hear?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. Luke records that an angel appeared to shepherds tending their flocks near Bethlehem on the night of Christ’s birth saying, “this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” These were no ordinary shepherds—they were shepherd-priests who raised lambs for temple sacrifices.  The sign of a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manager—the exact process for a firstborn male passover lamb to remain unblemished—would have indicated to them who this Child would be. The shepherds immediately went and spread the good news.  And so should we. Because only through Christ can God and sinners be reconciled. Hear more about the birth of Christ at TheChristianWorldview.org. This weekend, Todd Friel joins us to discuss how the Old Testament points to Christ.

 The Line on Relevance (Dec. 1-7, 2014) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:00

How far should churches go to be “relevant”?  This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. No doubt you’ve noticed how evangelical churches have changed over the last couple decades.  Music, lighting, dress, and sermons, are carefully managed to make Christianity seem “with it” to the current generation. The apostle Paul said, “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.”  Paul went along with some customs of his audience but was careful to never lessen God’s glory or leave out the full truth of Scripture. We must trust that the power to save ultimately comes from God, not from tweaking the message or the method. Hear an interview about this with respected author Iain Murray at TheChristianWorldview.org. This weekend, Henry Morris from the Institute for Creation Research joins us.

Steadying the Wobbling Evangelical Church | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:45

Guest:  Iain Murray, author, Evangelical Holiness Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.  1 Chronicles 16:8 We at The Christian Worldview wish you and yours a Thanksgiving weekend marked by gratitude to God for His immeasurable blessings of life, family, country, and most of all, His Son.  We are thankful for your encouragement and support of this ministry. This weekend on The Christian Worldview, 82-year-old Iain Murray, the respected author of more than 25 books and founder of Banner of Truth Publishing, joins us from Scotland to discuss four pressing issues within the church: holiness and spirituality, the attack on the Bible, apostasy, and the benefits and dangers of controversy. These issues make up four of the five parts of Iain Murray’s latest book, Evangelical Holiness.  Mr. Murray is a keen observer of the leaders and trends that impact the Evangelical church and was the assistant to perhaps the most influential minister in 20th Century England—D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones at Westminster Chapel in London.
