Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder: Diagnosing and Managing the Most Common Female Sexual Dysfunction

CME show

Summary: Hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) is the most common female sexual dysfunction, with about 10% of premenopausal women in the U.S. believed to have this condition. HSDD is consistently under-diagnosed and under-managed, due in great measure to the lack of adequate physician-patient communication on this topic. This CME interview will discuss the symptoms of HSDD and its impact on a patient's quality of life, along with the components for a comprehensive sexual history. It will also discuss causal factors for HSDD and common comorbid conditions, as well as therapeutic modalities available to manage HSDD, including their benefits and potential side effects. 0.25 CME Credits
