EP 15: It’s a Holly, Jolly Podcast

Podthings show

Summary: Recorded Dec. 16, 2013 Grab your rum n' eggnog, cuz Adam and Erika get festive for the last episode of 2013. Erika kicks off the episode by playing a new Christmas standard - "Merry Christmas Exclamation Point" by Canadian funny-man Jon Lajoie, which leads to a discussion of the "Christmas text". The two talk turducken and how to deep fry a turkey, Erika finds weird presents online, and Adam explains the true meaning of Festivus. Later, Adam compares Christmas to the pagan celebration of Saturnalia, they discuss weird Christmas traditions in other countries, and watch a kid-narrated version of Home Alone starring pugs. It's a holly, jolly podcast. Happy holidays to all our listeners! Feel free to air your grievances on Twitter on Monday, Dec. 23 in honour of Festivus. Tweet us with the hashtag #PodGrief, and tell us how we've disappointed you this year... and maybe we'll read them on our Jan. 1 podcast.   Some things we talked about Sriracha Vodka
