Summary: This week on the Idle No More Indigenous Report we have Award Winning Ojibwe author, Patricia Ningewance-Nadeau who is a well known and respected author, publisher, presenter, consultant, interpreter, panelist, producer and professor of the Ojibwe language. Patricia has also been active in Native Language Workshops attended as a Presenter, or Co-Presenter. Patricia has worked in the field of Native Communications where she has hosted, produced and wrote for several television and radio shows. Patricia Ningewance-Nadeau is also known as Waabibizhikiikwe (White Buffalo Woman) of the Bear Clan. Patricia is currently teaching "Advanced Ojibwe" at the University of Manitoba.Patricia’s earlier studies in languages and her own bilingualism and literacy in her own language set the course for her life work. Because of her syllabic literacy, she landed her first job as editor of a native newsletter. That was the beginning. She spent the 35 years in Ontario and Manitoba working for the preservation of her language. Patricia has an extensive resume which includes: sitting on several board of directors for language revitalization, she has been an international presenter and co-presenter at Native Language Workshops.
