Sci-Fi Movie Podcast – The Matrix

The Sci-Fi Movie Podcast show

Summary: Hosted by Rem, Ian and Jonathan This week, Rem, Jonathan and Ian review "The Matrix" from 1999. This might be considered a 'gush fest', but even an excellent film such as this has its flaws and we'll certainly peel back the curtain and look at both the good and the bad. The Positive: "The Matrix" is a smart and stylish Sci-Fi Movie with a strong story line, cutting edge (for the time) special effects, a strong cast, and themes around spirituality and human existence that hit on my different levels. Whether you're looking for a fun action movie or prefer to dig into the meaty story and explore the 'Christ' comparisons with Neo being 'The One', this is a film that still stands up today, and will be considered a Sci-Fi classic for years to come. The Negative: The worst thing about "The Matrix" is actually the two films that followed, "The Matrix: Reloaded" and "The Matrix: Revolutions".  These two films tried to follow the brilliance of the first, but ultimate collapsed upon themselves. Overall: Watch "The Matrix" and stop there! Please share your comments and thoughts on The Sci-Fi Movie Podcast Facebook page or send us Email Here's Karl Pilkington's take on Superpowers:
