This app will allow the iPad to get the word out to whomever you need to speak with. The iPad sits on the table in-between both of you. You can speak into the translator or type in text. Text-to-translate voices will repeat in their tongue whatever you have said. Table Top Translator has over 40 translators in the app. If you add premium support, you will get over twice as many languages and dialects to speak in (sorry, no Klingon or Wookie). Premium support is a monthly or yearly fee. The only downfall - you need Wifi or another connection for this program to work. It needs to connect to the speech server to translate.
