Forget about working out -- focus on the food -- commit to walking only. Commit to going cold turkey. Prepare for extinction bursts. Make a list of go-to meals. Plan an escape route. If you're hungry, eat. Get plenty of sleep. Identify the emotion before you eat. Don't obsess over quality. Start taking Fish Oil or Krill Oil. Mix and match the same things over and over again. Cook in large batches and eat lots of leftovers. Get a lot of sunlight. Get your spouse and kids involved. Be a student of the game. Start taking probiotics. Get enough fat. Start taking Vitamin D3. Learn to conquer eating out. Go to social situations on purpose…as a mission. Blame not eating certain things on an allergy. Don't weigh yourself during the first 30 days. Blend if you have to. Always remind yourself that this is not a marathon or a sprint, it's the rest of your life. Little hiccups are easily corrected. Don't dwell on them. Master the art of the slow cooker. Abuse that thing. Eat dinner for breakfast. Or vice versa. Free yourself from the constraints of what society tells you that you should eat at certain times of the day. It's all nonsense.
