For this first proper episode of 2013 we’ve got lots of extreme Metal, so to speak. You’ve got to blame Marcus and Si for that, though. Anyway, starting with Fleshgod Apocalypse, the bombastic and thunderous tone is set. Timor et Tremor are next with their Black Metal, followed by Viikate melodic music, to allow for a smoother digestion. Fen’s happy tunes are contrasted by Kremated’s Thrash/Punk style. This brings us the Belgian Symphonic Black Metallers from Saille and the devastating sounds of Deathspell Omega. Lashblood from Russia, Eibon La Furies! from the UK and the Doomsters Edenian from Ukraine (for fans of e;g. Draconian) complete the list.
