Summary: <p>Recent studies have identified mucosal healing as a key prognostic parameter in the management of inflammatory bowel diseases. In this podcast Mairi McLean, education editor for Gut, talks to Marcus Neurath from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, and Simon Travis from John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, about their systematic review of the clinical studies on mucosal healing.
