U.S. Mission sponsors weekly television program to highlight young Ugandan entrepreneurs

Summary: “YouthWorks!” is a 30-minute weekly TV show produced in partnership with NTV Uganda to promote youth entrepreneurship.  The U.S. Mission is proud to support this program as part of its broad youth outreach effort in Uganda. The program premiered on NTV in early March and will air every Thursday from 7:30-8:00 p.m. until May 23.  Each episode highlights the work of young entrepreneurs and pairs them with mentors who help them realize ideas and innovations while  imparting critical business skills.  The mentors, who are drawn from successful Ugandan businesses, will continue to advise their mentees after the show and have generously offered to take on additional mentees.  In this clip, “Youth Works!” team leader Rusia Orikiriza discusses what the show is all about and why it matters. Read more at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Youth-Works-Uganda/294356380682981
