Summary: We are back for another episode of Africa Conversations, a podcast series which brings together Americans and Africans from all walks of life to talk about U.S. and African issues. In this month's podcast, we discussed the challenges to peace and security in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in the Sahel region, with retired U.S. diplomat William Jordan, American University of Paris professor Steve Ekovich, and Bakary Traoré, a PhD candidate studying the conflict in northern Mali. The podcast was also an opportunity to talk about the efforts that are being made by both African countries and the international community to promote stability in the region and prevent future conflicts, as well as a chance to highlight some success stories of countries that are making big strides post crisis
