Guest: Cedric Du Peloux. This is a convert story about Cedric Du Peloux De Praron. He describes the story like this: What happened is that my father separated with my mother when he became Muslim. My mother is not Muslim and I grew up with her. I went on holiday when I was 8 years old and spent some time with my father and that's when faith in Islam entered my heart. Then I went back to my mum until I was 14 years old. In my heart I felt I was Muslim even if I didn't know much about Islam. Then I went on to live with my father for a few years and decided to learn and practice Islam. I consider myself more like a revert as I chose to be Muslim at a certain point. I grew up pretty much as a non Muslim and also because Islam was not part of my culture back then. I'm definitely closer to a Westerner than to someone that grew up in Islam. But at the same time I'm not your typical revert. I've learned so much throughout this journey that I make sure to share my knowledge within the youth of my community when I get a chance. About Cedric: 38 years old Converted in 1996, that's 24 years ago From France, born in Paris, Mother is French native Caucasian Father was from a French West Indies island called 'Guadeloupe' Has lived in Melbourne Australia since 2012 Works in the IT field as an Application Operation Engineer Huge basketball fan Very into spiritual readings especially about tassawuf, tazkiya and hagiographies Enjoys different writings about the history and state of the Muslim world He also says: I'm passionate about giving dawah at any chance I can and also helping the less fortunates whether it is through donation or physical assistance but my main area of expertise are marriage and relationship and also helping Westerner new reverts to make sense of their Islam as it can sometime be challenging for people that were born Muslim and non Westerner to understand where a revert is coming from. May his wisdom benefit you. About Zakaria: He is French but has lived in Egypt for the last 16 years His mother was a native French woman His father is French as well, but has Chinese origins and was born in Tahiti (a French island in the Pacific Ocean) the capital of French Polynesia He converted to Islam 18 years ago in 2002 Two years later he left France to live among Muslims He lives in Cairo He is 51, married and has 3 daughters From Zakaria's bio: As for my work, I am originally an English teacher. I graduated from a French university in 1994. When I came to Egypt I was blessed to work for the Islamic website Islamweb for 11 years. I worked there mainly as the proofreader of the French speaking team. I also did translating, and I was supervisor of the team for some time. Since I reverted it took me some years to finally understand the huge gap there is between the teachings of our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and the way Muslims behave nowadays. Since work at Islamweb finished I haven't had a stable job: I have done different things: I have been teaching French and English, I have done proofreading, website content writing, studio recording, I translated 2 Islamic books. The last one was an 'Naba al Adhim' by Sheikh Muhammad Draz an Egyptian scholar from al Azhar university . In sha Allah it will be published and distributed free of charge by the website tafsir.net. It's a wonderful book where Sheikh Draz demonstrates that the Qur'an cannot but have been written by Allah. There they look for underlying emotional root problems of ailments and treat them with alternative healing methods. Some methods and topics he teaches includes: The realm of energy and the different forces Traditional healing methods Channeling energy naturally Grounding Self healing Healing others Distant healing Tapping Positive affirmations Lifestyle changes Energy meridians and energy centres Emotions and trauma Rapid trauma release Trauma identification and release In this episode Zuhair talks about: How his programs facilitate and ensure a healing journey for those enrolled. How his programs combine Islamic perspectives and alternative healing methods. How Western concepts can sometimes conflict with Islamic Teachings. Cures that are unique to Islam like the Quran plus others. How his programs can help people to convert to Islam (especially people suffering from problems). 'Mind, body and soul' and how they benefit by one becoming Muslim. Things to look out for after converting to Islam, for example: burnout, marriages gone wrong, and fitting in with new Muslim communities. The demystifying of mysticism. General advice about converting to Islam. Contact Zuhair here: www.aafiyahhealing.com www.youtube.com/aafiyahhealing healing@mindhorizon.org The following is the testimonial that Zuhair read in the episode: This year has been a major year for me and my family. I have been able to heal so much in and around myself and my family is now thriving again. We are a unit now. I am so grateful that God brought me to Aafiyah Healing because if it wasn't for the work that Zuhair Girach has done over the last 20 years on creating 'Aafiyah Healing' I would of been lost in the abyss. Those of you who are spiritual practitioners or into the sciences, this is a must workshop because it is focused on the Almighty. If I had not done this workshop, I wouldn't have been able to use my own expertise correctly to be able to protect myself and my family spiritually. I've kind of been able to 'halalify' my practices on a fundamental level and demystify mysticism (I guess). I have shared my journey socially to raise awareness of spiritual warfare and how black magic can affect us. If you have resonated with any part of my journey, then I would definitely recommend these workshops that will clarify about how to apply the practices in day to day life according to the Quran and Sunnah. Credit where it's due, doing the workshop has allowed me to link God with my gifts that I have always been shunned for, we all have a gift, it's how we use them that count - intentions create our reality.  The Beginning And Not The End: Life's Biggest Lessons And How To Become Muslim (French Convert) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2599

Episode 60: Convert to Islam: https://untoislam.com Podcast: https://untoislam.com/podcast About Us: https://untoislam.com/about-us Contact Us: https://untoislam.com/contact-us Live QA Session: https://untoislam.com/live-qa-session Sponsor|Donate|Support|Help Us: https://untoislam.com/donate Host: Crystal Joseph. Guest: Amina Karine Kermous. An inquisitive and sparky young child, Amina spent her childhood in a migrant dense, small region of France. Despite large exposure to the various cultures of the Muslim community, Islam remained a widely misunderstood and disdained concept amongst the non-muslims she knew. As much as she possibly could, Amina tried to get to grips with her own religion. While comfortable with the concept of creationism, gaping holes to some of the biggest questions of our existence and spiritual guidance proved too much for her logic to reconcile. During her adolescence she eagerly seized the opportunity to travel to a nearby city in order to continue with her studies. She embraced Islam there and describes her path of becoming Muslim as she navigated her way through intellectual, cultural, spiritual and emotional struggles while consciously striving to perfect her identity as a Muslim. 20 years later and now living in the United Kingdom, what does she cite as her life's biggest lessons?
