Jason and Mickey return this week with a special Patreon guest host for the entire show, Tony Grate from Retro-Daze.Org! Plus, you'll also hear some MOTU commercials and a rare Canon promo for the feature film.Interact with us on social media by finding @TRNsocial on like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.  SequelQuest Rewind | A Sequel to Jupiter Ascending | EP49 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:31

SequelQuest Rewind | A Sequel to Jupiter Ascending | EP49 The Wachowskis are filmmakers for whom the hype surrounding their latest project is often more exciting than the final product itself. No film personifies this more than Jupiter Ascending, the 2015 sci-fi/action flop starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis. Surely you remember the trailer with Wolf-Dog Men rollerblading on air while Eddie Redmayne whisper shouted his way through a bizarre cinematic performance. So why would the SequelQuest crew choose to discuss a sequel to a film whose messy plot and over the top acting choices earned it several Razzie nominations in the year if it’s release? Let’s call it hope. Somewhere within the incredibly dense world conceived by the Wachowskis, a decent movie must be lurking like an alien in your bedroom.Such was the plan when Adam, Jeff and Jeramy invited a tag team of guest hosts to the podcast who claimed to have the solution to making Jupiter Ascending a bankable franchise. We know you’ll enjoy meeting Emily and Christin, as much as we enjoyed laughing along with them. So listen in on the fun below and let your Oedipal complex shine proudly as we bring a Jupiter Ascending sequel to your ear-holes! Stream our SequelQuest Back Catalogue from the links below or find the show on the NEW TRN Feed on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, Podbean, SoundCloud and more.NEW! SequelQuest Rewind | Gremlins Franchise Sequel | EP391984, the year we learned that terrifying things come in cute packages, if you don't follow the rules. Gremlins written by Chris Columbus, produced by Steven Spielberg and Directed by Joe Dante was a horrific surprise to many as little green monsters terrorized a small town on Christmas Eve. The furry Mogwai known as Gizmo and his human buddy, Billy (Zach Gallagan) returned to the big screen in 1990 for an even wackier adventure that saved New York City in Gremlins 2: The New Batch before finding themselves lost to cinematic history. Finally, 27 years later, it's time for a showstopping return. SequelQuest presents Gremlins 3! This time Jeff, Jeramy, Adam along with special guest and professional puppeteer, Kelly Campbell (Jeff's sister) are imagining under what circumstances you dare unleash the Gremlins upon humanity again. So click below to listen to all the fun and mayhem. As an added bonus we were lucky enough to get an interview with the designer and original puppeteer of the Gremlins, Chris Walas.
