Rebecca’s 37-year-old brother David died 22 years ago. His death made no sense. Six weeks after he died, Rebecca was riding her horse through a Christmas tree farm and for the first time since David’s passage, she felt peaceful. She expressed gratitude, closed her eyes, and saw her brother. He was healthy, talkative, and looked seven years younger than when he died. Behind David were Rebecca’s grandparents, two childhood friends, and about two dozen additional people that had also passed on. This was the first time Austill-Clausen realized life was eternal.
