 023 - Summer Tour Sampler | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:07:22

It's July, the Summer heat is here to stay and there's no better time to be on the road. In this episode, we head out on the road to check in with Dead & Company and Phil Lesh. Both bands are doing some great things on stages all over the place so I've pulled a couple great jams to either cool down or heat up your listening space. These jams can do both. After that, we reach into the vault for some good old Grateful Dead.

 022 - Summer Jams | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:40:52

Hey there, Dead Freaks! It's summer time and the time is right for long, sick jams. This episode finds me digging into a serious dose of those along with some other great tunes. No guest, not a lotta nonsense, just good old Grateful Dead.

 021 - Featuring Phil Cook | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:01:11

Osiris goes to Delfest, Phil Cook comes on the show to talk about his new record, and we listen to some good old Grateful Dead.

020 - Back To Oregon with Jeff Conklin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:13:26

This week we resume our trek up the Oregon trail with WFMU host, fellow Dead Freak, and walking musical compendium, Jeff Conklin. As before, Jeff has selected a few more great tracks from the Grateful Dead's many visits to Oregon. We listen to and discuss those along with some other great stuff including the magic of audience tapes, and the fabulously deep catalog of fellow traveler Matt Valentine.

019 - On The Oregon Trail with Jeff Conklin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:04:34

Listeners and Dead Freaks, this episode features a terrific chat with WFMU host, Deadhead, and encyclopedia on far-out music of all kinds, Jeff Conklin. Jeff's show on WFMU is The Avant Ghetto and there he spins all manner of psychedelic and experimental tunes including some terrific selections by our beloved Grateful Dead. We talk about his development as a Deadhead and then dug into studying the vast riches resulting from the Dead's many visits to the great state of Oregon.

 018 - 50, 40, & 30 Years Ago | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:09:30

I put together a little mix to go along with the first open-window days of the season. Plus, I did promise you kind and patient listeners a shot of good old Grateful Dead. This mix reaches back 50, 40, and 30 years to 1968, '78, and '88 for material. The tracks range from jams to cowboy songs and it hangs together despite the disparate eras represented.

 017 - Golden Gate Wingmen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:35:25

We've got a special and unusual episode for you this time around. I had the great fortune to join my good friend and head of Osiris, RJ Bee, at a Golden Gate Wingmen show late last month. The show, at The Hamilton Live, was the kick-off for a short tour and it was a blast. To make things even more exciting, we got to meet and interview the band. Jeff Chimenti (keys, vocals), John Kadlecik (guitar, vocals), Jay Lane (drums, vocals), and Reed Mathis (bass, vocals) were friendly, forthcoming, and entertaining. After the interview, listen to selections from the show.

 016 - Bobby Songs Set 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:08:33

 015 - Bobby Songs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:52:32

RJ Bee guests to discuss Bob Weir's songs, the late John Perry Barlow, and we spin a set of Bobby tunes.

 014 - Playing In The Band | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:22:31

Although the men in the top hats have disturbed the groundhogs, hibernation isn't quite over so we have a one-part episode this month. Here's hoping the hot jams warm your home. This go round, I'm dusting off a mix that I assembled several years back that amounts to a fairly epic survey of the song Playing In The Band. In true Grateful Dead fashion, this jam covers a lot of ground and should not disappoint. The full breakdown of included clips is listed below.

 013 - One-Off Venues: Set 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:42:18

It's cold outside but the jams are nice and hot on this episode. This here is part two of our survey of shows from one-time venues. Andy is back once more and we've a whole new batch of tracks and venues to discuss. This being set two, things get a little more loose and a lot weirder-- Just the way I like them. Thanks again to Andy, for coming on and bringing his wealth of Grateful Dead knowledge along with his sense of humor.  And thanks to you, kind listeners, for checking out the show.

 012 - One-Off Venues: Set 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:34:56

We're kicking off 2018 with another visit from my good friend, Andy Barnes. Together we dug into a list of venues that the Grateful Dead only visited one time and we've assembled what I hope you'll find to be an entertaining listen. Set One Good Morning, Little Schoolgirl, Doin' That Rag (1969-05-16), Green Green Grass Of Home \> Slewfoot (1969-07-03), China \> Rider (1970-03-08), Bird Song (1980-12-06), Althea, Let It Grow (1982-04-03)

 011 - Ghosts of New Years' Past | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:26:24

This month we take a look at a few of those New Year's Eve performances and play some choice cuts to help you close out your year. We've got the Rock & Roll, Blues, and, my personal favorite genre, Face-Melting Jams. So, polish off the egg nog and break into the bubbly, cos we're gonna party like it's 1969.

 010 - More with Jesse Jarnow & '67 Dead | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:37:42

We're going bi-weekly this month with our interview with author, Jesse Jarnow. In episode 009 we talked about Jesse's background as a Dead Head, writer, and his books: Big Day Coming: Yo La Tengo And The Rise Of Indie Rock and Heads: A Biography Of Psychedelic America. Now we resume our survey of the recorded history of 1967 Grateful Dead. We hope you enjoy this tenth episode and tell a friend to check us out. As always, thank you for listening.
