Mrs. Tress Kurzym, former Texas teacher, and now Illinois inspiration, was kind enough to carve out some time from her busy schedule to chat about her time in Texas, who inspires her, and why she feels uncomfortable in the Gateway Arch (which I called "Golden Arch").

One of the people I adore the most, Ms. Darla Jones, spent a bit of time with me on the phone this week. We discuss theatre in charter schools, Texas Thespians, and a bit more. This is waaaaaay off topic of education and theatre education. I expect 2 people to listen to this but I am going to take advantage of this outlet to share thoughts on the biggest weekend in wrestling, Wrestlemania weekend! Jay Thomas and I had some dinner while discussing our childish thoughts on men fighting in underwear whilst soaked in baby oil. If you too are an out of the closet wrestling nerd, enjoy. I had lunch with Mr. Phillip Taylor, formerly of Fort Bend ISD (Assistant Fine Arts Director) and is now in Austin ISD as the Administrative Supervisor of Fine Arts. We had a great chat about classroom teachers, UIL, and his days as a varsity football player. Enjoy!

This week, I had the pleasure of interviewing improv extraordinaire, Missy Whitis, from (amongst other places) the University of Cincinnati. I also sat down with Mr. Alex Cannon and Mr. Ethan Mock to discuss their experiences as theatre students in high school.
