This week Tony sits the class down to look over one of the darkest periods in gaming history: North American video game crash of 1983. If there was ever a time when it looked like gaming was against the ropes, 1983 was the year people were looking for a TKO. Everyone from Atari, Coleco, even Quaker Oats and Purina had a hand in one of the gravest periods in gaming history, but like every great story there came a hero to save the day. The computer is fixed (YEA!), but there's still a lot of work to be done before we get back to the lesson plan. In the mean time, Tony discusses the release of No Ma's Sky and why some people need to temper their expectation when it comes to game, and how far we've come in the 30 years since the beginning of mainstream gaming and how things are getting better.
