FOMO has been around for sometime. As I've begun to hear it used throughout the years, I've realized that the fear of missing out is actually limiting our true potential.
Although many people have the belief that being naive is a negative thing, that’s not the case. It’s those that are naive enough to believe that they can do something big in this world that accomplish what many thought impossible. Being intelligently naive means being optimistic and idealistic.
Most people spend way too much time to make inconsequential decisions or allow other people to make decisions for them. Don’t live your life this way, take the time to build the characteristic of decisiveness. Successful people are those who are able to make decisions with the information that they have at the time and are able to categorize decisions into important and not so important.
Daily, we’re making over 35,000 decisions and with those decisions we have the option to make them based off either the short term or the long term outlook. The more decisions we can make with the long term game in mind, the more value we can bring to the world.
It’s natural to set limits on what you can and cannot do, however when you choose to break those limits you will experience true happiness. Break those limits so that you don’t ever feel stagnant or like you’re stuck!
Having a deep hunger to work hard is of greater importance than natural born talent. If you are born with talent but lack the drive to work hard and grow that talent, you may be better than everyone early on but soon those with that drive will surpass you.
We are deeply affected by our surroundings. We have to be intentional about who we hang out with. If you ever feel that your friends or family do not help you to become the best possible version of yourself, do not be afraid to make the hard decision to audit your circle and find new people.
Waking up early before 95% of the population is awake is the simplest, most effective way in changing your life. There’s something about getting into a rhythm before your work day has begun that not only makes you feel more accomplished and overall better but it changes others’ outlooks on you as a person and coworker.
Approval from others isn't what brings you self worth, it isn't what brings you happiness. Approval from yourself, on the other hand, does. We all seek the validation of others, but we shouldn't value it more than the validation we get in the mirror.
We have a medicine inside of us, that we can use every day that is free and is incredibly effective. It’s called laughter. It helps us decrease overall stress, boosts our immune system, and helps us bond with each other.
Your mindset has an effect on your entire life. If you believe in yourself, and keep what’s call a growth mindset, then you can grow and improve yourself every day.
Father's Day is the time to reflect on what you have been blessed with, and to appreciate what you have. While there are hurdles along the way, the ultimate goal as a father is happiness.
It is important to take risks in life, but you first must measure those risks. In gambling, you are just betting on the hopes; the odds are fixed and always against you. When you take a calculated risk, you can factor in many resources that can change your odds of success.
It's not always easy to ask others for help. But those that are good at asking for advice, always make better decisions.
There is a lesson in loyalty. When you're loyal to someone or a cause, that makes you that much of a better person.
