Yogi Dave's Hobby Podcast
Summary: So, those of you in the know will be aware that a couple months ago I was interviewed for an episode of the Paint all the Mini's podcast and it inspired me to start my own YouTube channel that pertained to my gaming and painting etc,after thinking about it for a number of years. I have been uploading semi-regularly videos on various topics and thoughts and what have you I have been having involving the hobby over however long it has been since the last one, as well as battle reports, intros to games, etc, some of it's been good, some of it's not but I am learning as I go along. A couple of weeks ago I started using Twitter, I know very late to the game but I decided that it was probably not a bad idea to advertise my YouTube but also push myself out there. I am currently semi-self employed because I paint miniatures on commission so I have the time and I decided after looking at other peoples twitters that maybe putting a podcast together in addition to the YouTube channel might not be a bad idea. I'll be honest, I am not sure how good the quality of the early podcasts are going to be, I'm not even sure I have an idea of the format I want to run with. All I know is that I have things to say and I need to say them. I've recorded two episodes so far and some parts of them are a little ranty but that's kind of who I am, I rant, I lose my shit about things that piss me off, and I am not going to apologise for them, just be warned. New RPG, honest reviewing and the podcast guests
Howdy folks, By know you are probably aware that I am working on my own RPG, the Legends of Hamanshiron, this is me basically reading the primer I wrote for my Falkirk group of players when we played in the world with the Pathfinder rules so a lot of this is geared towards that set of rules. As I write this the basic rules are being laid down along with character generation, skill use, combat, spell use etc. I never realised how much work it really takes to write this until I actually started, it takes a long time to write anything even things you have in your head, because you have to write them in a way that is easily understandable for a person that has never played an RPG before as much as an old hand. As I said this was written a number of years ago and is a bit out of date already, a number of the gods have been tweaked and the actualy background on how the races came to be has changed a bit even since I recorded this podcast, so when it is finally released it will be different but this is just a taster. Since then I have recorded this I have been working with three of my friends to bring this world to life, we are getting stuck into the rules and there are a few proper inovations in the mix. How do folks This is the interview I did with Paul Cooke the man behind Pandemonium Games It was really interesting talking with him and if I hadn't been talking all day probably could have done a couple more hours with him, and plan on having him back on the podcast, it's always nice to get to talk to other hobbiests, especially ones I have never got to talk to before. This is something I am going to try and get done on a more regular basis and am looking to have just normal gamers on right now rather than industry luminaries, which I will have on eventually. Howdy Folks, Today I talk about the new Chaos releases and their pros and cons, the shifts in Narrative of both 40k and AoS and why they were good and why they were needed, also the real and most obvious reason why GW did it, not the stories everyone keeps hearing. I also talk about the new group I am starting to play RPG's with this week and what we are going to be playing and why for our first campaign, and my plans to expand the Yogi Dave's Media empire into Twitch. Howdy folks, So this is the 2nd session of the Infinity RPG campaing at Falkirk district There were a few ups and downs in there and a couple characters close to getting done in, but it was a good laugh, proof of concept is my character, a combat monster that's pretty much useless when it hasn't got something to do with fighting or hunting. Looking forward to next month and the buying of new toys. I will tell you though the editing of audio took about 12 hours, it was brutal. Happy hobby

Talking about his current games of choice, V-Commandos, which I had never heard of that one before, getting back into 40k, and Song of Fire and Ice. Talking his favorite army, which was interesting and why it is his favourite is just as interesting, talking kickstarters, keeping ahold of your minis for various reasons, the Frostgrave creator and his games, and loads and loads of other things that Dan is passionate about. Howdy Folks, How are we all, hope all is good. This episode was recorded about two weeks ago and I was in the middle of a mammoth editing, terrain building and recording day, so I was a little frazzled when I did this particular episode. I talked about Shadowspear, though I have changed my mind a little having seen the price, what I am getting for my birthday, I talk a little about the Infinity Skirmish game, taking a break from hobbying so you don't get burn out, and how taking a break from games and other parts of the hobby has been part of my gaming life, the new Battletech boxed sets and how I'm not loving how much they are coming out with, during it and listening to it again I figured out I can't fuckin count. I shit on it for about ten minutes but still remind you I love the game. Happy hobby After I had already recorded the episode I did a tweet about Fenris Games which blew up (At least for one of my tweets, it has been retweeted 40 odd times at this point) and I wanted to add a little bit on the end here of this episode for those that don't follow me on twitter
How do folks So, I'm going to stop numbering the episodes and going to give them a name that suits. (Also Apple have started rejecting numbered podcasts for some reason) This episode apart from a little at the front is all about painting and a little basic info and things I wanted to talk about.
