Here in the LGA world there's a lot going on so the gang got together early and recorded episodes early with absolutely no direction. Things took a left turn at Albuquerque on episode 31 when the gang gets hung up on who the Spiderman movie rights should stay with, or who should get what money. What started out as as discussion over which games they played last week ended up with squabbling over the future of Spiderman! In addition to all the movie talk, they were also off the rails talking about Invader Zim, anime, and 3d animation. When things calmed down and got back to video games, everyone discussed how terrible Justin is at video games, especially Heavy Rain. This week was a relatively slow week for video game playing, Frost played some mobile games and Borderlands 2, Justin fell asleep playing My Time at Portia, and Marcus claimed he didn't play anything and yet still managed to play three whole games! We came up with a new jingle for the community engagement segment, which we talked about what the best controller we've ever used for a console. Justin was surprised by the responses! For the news segment we have some dooseys. The White House wants to ruin the internet again, but this time via executive order that allows them to essentially control social media platforms. Also, is it the beginning of the end for loot boxes? Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo all agreed to mandate the odds of lootboxes be displayed on storefront pages within a year. Out of nowhere, Valve announces that they are now moderating Steam Workshop content, they claim a 24 hour turnaround time but who knows given their track record. Fire Emblem is the talk of the town these days, so cohost Marcus weighs in with how he has been enjoying it so far, and Frost has been playing Borderlands 2 on Twitch and has some stuff to say about it. This is our second POWERED UP episode of the LGAcast, we're just pounding Game Fuel at this point. This is an extra special episode, as we have a guest! We brought in Tycho from The Weird Tales Podcast via Skype to discuss the best and most overrated Zelda games as well as thoughts on Final Fantasy 7. We really enjoyed our time with Tycho and hopefully we fix our audio stuff so it goes more smoothly with him next time! After we wrapped up with Tycho we talked about what Marcus thinks of Fire Emblem so far, he's only about 20 hours into the game at this point, so has he even really played it? Frost streamed some Breath of the Wild, and Justin picked up Supreme Commander 2 to play until Oxygen Not Included came out and now that's all he wants to play.
