PTF hosts solo this week. His first guest is Gabby Gaudet of TVG, who takes us through some of the top stories at the Keeneland sale. Then bloodstock advisor Jacob West stops by to discuss a couple of his recent purchases and give us an update on some of the runners he's associated with, including Sweet Melania.
First up, it's a de facto emergency pod with PTF and JK giving their initial stats on the New York Times article detailing Justify's positive test before the Santa Anita Derby. After they try to hit that moving target, JK takes off and Frank McGoey stops by (26:00) to give his thoughts on the WO Mile Day stakes, keeping up with European form, and how to trick your significant other into allowing you to buy a racehorse.

Brought to you by Woodbine Mile Day. Nick Tammaro is here to reflect on the Saratoga meet as well as racing from Belmont and Kentucky Downs. Plus, we get his early thoughts on Saints of Newark, the Sopranos prequel. Then Kim Weir of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation stops by with an update on how things went this summer up at the Spa for the TRF/In the Money media partnership.
PTF and JK are here to look back at Saratoga and then quickly turn their attention to Opening Saturday at the Belmont Fall meet, specifically the races that comprise the late Pick 5.
We break format today to cover a few different things. First up, Frank Scatoni is back to review the remarkably safe Del Mar meeting (2:00). Then Jack Christian calls in from the rainforest of Costa Rica where he is celebrating his triumph in the Woodward Challenge at Saratoga (52:50). Last but not least, PTF and JK look ahead to a quartet of stakes races Saturday at Kentucky Downs (1:01:10).
On today's show, the prodigal host Jonathon Kinchen returns and he talks about two-year-old performances from the summer meets with PTF and Sean Tugel. Then Terry Green of Jackpot Farm is here to talk about basin and his journey from the casino world to horse racing. Lastly, PTF and Sean look ahead to the Keeneland September sale. Host Spencer Luginbuhl welcomes Benny Southstreet to talk about his trip handicapping process and go over a handful of two-year-old races from Saratoga this past weekend. Topics include, the importance of CADS, how waiting too long in the gate can be like being in a fight, and how to evaluate first-time starters
It's the worst day of the year -- the day we are the farthest from the next Saratoga meeting -- but PTF is here with special guest Sean Clancy to try to make you feel better. Part racing recap from Labor Day weekend, part look back at the highlights of the meet, part therapy session, we hope you enjoy it as we put a bow on Saratoga and start looking ahead to the Breeders' Cup.
Super fun show to close out our run at the Brentwood (for now anyway) with Peter Rotondo Sr and Lee Davis. They give their thoughts on the Woodward Day card and reminisce about their memories from Saratoga over the years.
Spencer Luginbuhl of the Redboard Rewind podcast is PTF's special guest LIVE at Saratoga Racecourse. They talk about the Woodward Day card with a focus on the late pick five.
Monmouth has four stakes races on Sunday and Brian Skirka and Frank Mirahmadi are here to help you through the card. Brian gives a detailed update on Monmouth's plans this fall and Frank opens the show with a specialty impression: "subdued Marv Albert."
The In the Ring show is back! First up, Sean Tugel gives us his thoughts on this weekend's graded stakes for two year olds on both coasts. Then Tristan de Meric of de Meric sales is here to talk about his business and especially the impressive recent races of Annals of Time and Crystalle. Last but not least, Robbie Medina stops by to talk Code of Honor and Performer and to needle an old friend.
PTF and JK take a couple of wild tangents on today's shows, starting off with a chat about the ups and downs of Twitter (2:30) and taking another detour to discuss a different way of looking at the Empire 6 that makes Pete's teeth itch (18:00). In between, we hear JK's thoughts on the Saturday stakes races (12:20) and a look ahead to the 2-year-old stakes later this weekend (33:33).
PTF is happy to be hosting a special Kentucky Downs preview show. We start off with Racing Secretary Rick Hammerle to give us an overview of the meet (1:05). Then professional player -- and author of Betting With An Edge -- Mike Maloney is here to talk us through several of his favorite Kentucky Downs angles (15:35). Lastly, contest player Jack Jenkins -- a Kentucky Downs regular -- gives his thoughts on every race on Saturday's kickoff card (37:00).
