Carousel Sniper Victim show

Carousel Sniper Victim

Summary: Come with us as we stumble our way through a plethora of topics from true crime, mysteries, conspiracies, history, literature and anything and everything we deem worthy of the Carousel Sniper Victim treatment. The first episode of each topic, is a narrated timeline, scored with custom backing music by our sound designer. The second episode is a slightly intoxicated, somewhat drunken stumble towards the truth as we breakdown the topic in greater detail and go off on wild drifting tangents. Shallow, heavily tangent laden, poorly researched discussions. But, by Zeus! We edit them well and pretend to give the illusion of knowing stuff about things... Join us, as we attempt to comprehend the weird, wonderful, and sometimes dark world around us. Ready to share a laugh, a beer and some poorly researched fact we think we remember? Much love, Jack and Shaun Carousel Sniper Victim.

Ghost Ships Of The Arctic Seas | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:07

Maritime lore abounds with stories of ghost ships, those ships that sail the world’s oceans manned by a ghostly crew and destined never to make port. Only the bravest of souls attempted passage through the Arctic and the North-western waters. -LIKE-SHARE-COMMENT-TAG-REVIEW- Find more at www.carouselsnipervictim.com Produced by Shaun Jeffery Sound by Leigh Massoni Tunes by The Arcadian For radical artwork-Larnie Ralien

Broadmoor- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:09:40

We mix things up a little this Breakdown episode. We start with a "Jack Theory" on the Dyatlov Pass incident... He's basically solved it. We also have an additional bit of info on the Z Force Krait story for listeners local to our hometown... AND THEN... We sit down for our first 3 person Breakdown with a good friend of mine who recently spent some time in a mental health/ rehabilitation facility. So rather than just blabber on about Broadmoor, we thought why not talk to someone who has lived it.

The Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 30:31

To say that Broadmoor sounds like a dark place would obviously be an understatement. Not only are the people confined there dealing with their own personal demons... They are often exposed to demons of a very real nature too.  Special Force Z- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:13

Employing such tools as horribly poor fact recollection and good-natured yet arguably racist Japanese impersonations... We attempt to breakdown the events surrounding the "MV Krait" and Special Force Z. I warn you, this one is pretty loose* *That's what she said. Find more at www.carouselsnipervictim.com

Special Force Z- Behind Enemy Lines | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 31:22

"When I was your age, we didn't backpack around Europe. We bombed it..." -A quote that was on a meme I saw, so not actually a quote but makes a solid point. We can tend to live sheltered lives these days. Removed by the force of time from events that so drastically shaped the world we live in today. When compared to some of the things soldiers in the Pacific Theatre during WWII had to face we live in an idyllic future straight out of sci-fi...

Extended Clip- Bonus Episode! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 21:47

Bonus Episode! As it is the end of the month and we had some spare internet-data-juice left in the Carousel Sniper Victim server-mainframe-complex-facilty... We decided to pump out a bonus episode. Like a "Rapid Fire" episode but Jack wasn't with me as I did this last minute (7.5 hours before the data rolls over...cutting it close) So I called it an "extended Clip" episode. A few mini timelines, some announcements and winner, winner chiken dinners too... You'll just have to listen and find out.

The Coldest Cold Case- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:26

Brr! It's cold in here I said there must be some podcasts In the atmosphere I said Oh-Ee-Oh-Ee-Oh Ice ! Ice ! Ice ! Breakdown! In this edition, we discuss whether it was- The Thing, a character from Matthew Reilly's "Ice Station" or the discovery of the planet Nibiru that was responsible for the unfortunate story of Rodney Marks.  The Coldest Cold Case- Rodney Marks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 29:50

"Murder at the South Pole" is the kind of headline that newspapers can't resist. The people that choose to "winterover" at the South Pole in Antarctica have a saying: "What happens on the ice stays on the ice" To them, to try to help outsiders understand what life is like there is an antithesis to why one goes there in the first place. For somewhere that doesn't see sunlight for eight months at a time. Shady things still go on.

The Brown Bear of Sankebetsu- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:59

Unbearable puns and grizzly humour... Also a lesson in geography that most 5-year-old children would already understand. All this plus a Nitflux New Zealand commercial on this weeks edition of the Breakdown. -LIKE-SHARE-COMMENT-TAG-REVIEW- Every month we'll choose one person from the seedy world of social media notifications and send them some free stuff... @CarouselSniperVictim Find more at www.carouselsnipervictim.com © 2017 Dead Glass Design

The Brown Bear of Sankebetsu | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 28:47

It was December of 1915, the setting: Japan. Bear sightings among the rural villages were common at the time. The Ussuri Brown Bear, a cousin of the Grizzly, typically left humans alone, only occasionally breaking into village food stores. But something was different about this particular bear.  To Boldly Go- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:22

We were both a little hungover and sleep deprived this Breakdown episode, god damn cat, wake me up at 4:30AM will ya.... STILL! That doesn't stop us going off on so many random topics, I can't list them all. That and space stuff... we go over some of the American space race accidents too.  To Boldly Go... And Never Come Back | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 36:17

The cosmos is pretty indifferent to our struggles. We are, after all, just an advanced breed of talking monkey. Attempting to blast our way off our spinning floaty space-rock. If we can just make the bang-stick go "boom" just the right way we can fly to the sky, yeah? In reality, we are only just beginning to explore space. And it will cost us more lives in the future.  Katherine Knight- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:59

Star Wars sing-a-longs, Foley sound effects, very uncouth vernacular, as well as the horrible details of Katherine Knights life and murderously cannibalistic killing of John "Pricey" Price... All that and more in this edition of the Breakdown. Brace yo'self fool!  Katherine Knight- The Black Knight of Aberdeen | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 28:04

Katherine Mary Knight is the first Australian woman to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. She was convicted of the murder of her partner, John Charles Thomas Price, in October 2001. She stabbed him to death and then skinned him. She then put his skin on a meat hook, cooked his head and parts of his body, and placed them together with vegetables on plates with placecards with his children's names. Sounds like a lovely woman, right? Find more at www.carouselsnipervictim.com

The Hinterkaifeck Murders- The Breakdown | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:43

What could the late 1980's TV series Jim Henson's- The Story Teller, ancient lost languages, the arrow of entropy dragging us all towards the inevitable heat-death of the Universe... and the Hinterkaifeck murders, all possibly have in common? Absolutely nothing, yet somehow- everything...You'll just have to listen to see how we connect the dots* *Carousel Sniper Victim/ all hosts/ guests are not liable for any dots you feel were not connected in this episode, or any "facts" that are totally made up*
