[363] IU-Fort Wayne Postgame Show: Indiana State All Over Again (But Worse) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4383

For the second year in a row, Fort Wayne took advantage of a unfocused Indiana team that played well below its potential. On this edition of The Assembly Call IU Postgame Show we discuss:-- The one positive from tonight's game: Zach McRoberts' scoring outburst.-- How Robert Johnson's hot start quickly fizzled into one of his worst performances of the season.-- Why Juwan Morgan's solid stat line (he recorded another double-double) is very deceiving.-- The missed opportunities IU had in the second half to thwart Fort Wayne's momentum.-- What's up with De'Ron Davis? And at what point is he expected to produce, regardless of how good or bad the matchup is for him?-- How much blame should be laid at the feet of Archie Miller ... and what, specifically, the blame is for.And much more. Obviously this show is not nearly as enthusiastic as the Notre Dame show. But Andy and Jerod do their best to bring some patience and perspective to what was a very frustrating night -- a night where progress was nowhere to be found.

The lack of senior leadership down the stretch, mainly Robert Johnson's quiet afternoon, haunted Indiana's play.Guest host Galen Clavio and Ryan break it all down on the latest episode of Assembly Call.

[358] IU-Iowa Postgame Show: Hoosiers Rally in 2nd Half for Runaway Win | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3480

This was a game of major runs. Indiana went on a 19-6 run to end the first half, then Iowa countered with a 17-5 run to start the second half, and finally Indiana regained control and blew the game open with a 29-9 run to build a 77-55 lead before Iowa scored a few buckets to make the final score look more respectable.Juwan Morgan again led the way for Indiana, notching another double-double and saving his best play for the most crucial moments of the second half. The bench also came up big, as both Collin Hartman and Devonte Green were key members of the lineup during Indiana's best stretches of play. Mix in some solid work on both ends from De'Ron Davis, plus 14 combined rebounds from Robert Johnson and Josh Newkirk, and the generosity of Iowa's 18 turnovers, and the result is a solid and very important win for Indiana. The Hoosiers now avoid the risk of a five-game losing streak (with Louisville and Notre Dame up next) and avoid a rough 0-2 start in conference play -- which is especially important given how the Hoosiers resume Big Ten play (with road games at Wisconsin and Minnesota).Andy Bottoms and Ryan Phillips broke it all down on the latest edition of The Assembly Call IU Postgame Show.
