WARNING: This episode contains details involving the death of a young child and may be difficult to listen to. Listener discretion is advised Zachary Andrew Turner was murdered by the hands of his mother on August 18, 2003 at the age of 13 months. She also was responsible for the murder of Zachary’s father, Andrew David Bagby, 1 year 9 months and 14 days earlier. In this series, we are going to examine the entire timeline from the very beginning to see just how preventable this tragedy should have been, to examine the warning signs that so many people overlooked, and discuss just how fair the justice system should be when it comes to the rights of parents - especially when that parent is actually facing indictment for her child’s father. https://www.childandyouthadvocate.nf.ca/pdfs/turner-v1.pdf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EQI0bO9KSw

#132 The Tale of the Marine in Lake Mead | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:20:55

On Sunday June 15th, 1997, Staff Sergeant Ron Parkhurst inexplicably abandoned his job as a recruiter at his office in Huntington Beach and drove to Las Vegas, Nevada. Six days later, he was found dead, floating in Lake Mead with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. To this day, his murder is unsolved. In this episode, we explore Ron’s possible state of mind when he decided to leave California, what in his background may have led to him seemingly abruptly walk out on his life, what happened in the days leading up to his death, and how he ended up dead in Lake Mead. I have had a chance to speak to Orange County Register Journalist Keith Sharon who has written just about the only article out there on this case, and will be talking to him further about it. Please check the links below to read his article from November of 2019.  #126 The Tale of the Physician and the Fraudsters | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:33:06

On April 16, 1988, 911 was called to the Glendale, California office of neurologist Dr. Richard Boggs. A patient had apparently suffered a heart attack and died during a routine office visit. But first responders quickly noticed some inconsistencies in the doctor’s story that the man had just died. The dead man was cold to the touch, and rigor had already set in. Something strange was afoot at the doctor’s office, but what exactly it was would reveal a very diabolical, albeit convoluted plot to commit insurance fraud.
