David Toms, a public land bowhunter with nearly 40-years of experience discusses what a tree saddle is, and some tips to using one. 

Mike and Adam chat with Dr. Duane Diefenbach, an adjunct professor of wildlife ecology at Penn State and a leader of the PA Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit. They were also joined by Jon Livingston, co-founder of Deerlab trail camera monitoring software. Dr Diefenback shares his findings from a GPS study done on whitetail deer on high pressure Pennsylvania public land. Jon talks about DeerLab, trail camera strategies, and a successful Idaho elk hunt.

Mike and Adam finally get to sit down and record a podcast together at DeerCon17, the QDMA National Convention, in New Orleans. This episode is different because there are no guests— Instead, we talk about the convention, our plans for deer season, our favorite camo, and some of our personal strategies.

Tips & Tactics for Killing Mature Whitetail Bucks on Public Land in the South Adam and Mike interview David Toms, a public land bowhunter with nearly 40-years of experience. David uses a tree saddle and a recurve bow to get in close to mature buck bedding areas. He has hunted many states and brings a vast amount of hunting experience to the table. They discuss how David developed his strategies and tactics for closing in on mature bucks.

Adam and Mike interview Jeff Bryant from Chasin Creation TV. Jeff learned to hunt through the school of hard knocks on the North/South Carolina border. His passion for hunting has brought him hunting in several other states, across the US.
