I am so excited to share this Beliefcast with you today.  Jed Thorpe is one of my good friends and colleagues for over 5 years now.  He is one of the best therapists I have ever been around and I can't wait for you to get to know him better.     Jed, CMHC, and National Certified Counselor have been in the mental health field for well over a decade. He began the journey in his mid-twenties and gained Bachelors of Science in Psychology while working with various treatment centers focusing on adolescent treatment. After graduating, he took a business hiatus and worked as a career recruiter for a few years but ultimately went back to what interested him most; people. He graduated with a Masters of Science in Counseling from Capella University in 2009. Since then he has been focused on counseling individuals through depression, anxiety, gender identity, relational issues and substance dependence. Dave Durocher was arrested for the first time at the age of 13. By the time he was 38, he had been to prison four times for a total of 15 years. When he was given the option to go to Delancey Street in Los Angeles, he was facing 29 years in prison. Dave was at Delancey Street for 8 years and became the Managing Director of their 250 person Los Angeles facility for the last 5 of those years. He was able to double revenues in their Training School businesses while he was there and when he left, he had tripled their earnings from when he had taken over the facility. In 2015, Dave helped launch The Other Side Academy as its Managing Director in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Today he is devoting his life to create a place where the most lost among us can come to learn about integrity, honesty, hard work and self-respect and become the type of person Dave has become.  Dave is an avid baseball fan and loves the LA Angels.  He also loves collecting rare coins.  Dave is most passionate about helping others change their behaviors so they can change their life.  #davepower #homerun
