Katie shares about the pressures of parenting, and how she's learned to surrender control and trust God. She also shares how motherhood has helped transform her relationship with God from one based on head knowledge to one grounded in heart convictions.

Kristin tells her story of how tragedy led her down a long path of self-destructive behavior. A few years ago, after living a life enveloped in shame, fear and low self-worth, she found a relationship with God for the first time. She now lives boldly and bravely as she encourages others to live with vulnerability and purpose.

When her husband received a cancer diagnosis, Stacy discovered the importance of finding God in each moment, even when it isn't easy or natural. Jessica experienced a very different upbringing than most of our other storytellers so far. But like most of us, she had a deep desire to be known, to have a place to belong. She thought she’d finally found her identity and community as an army wife... until she was suddenly an army widow. This story involves sorrow, but it's also a beautiful love story with details woven throughout it that could only be orchestrated by a higher power. Jessica's story is a beautiful journey of ultimately discovering the One who loves and knows her best of all.

Katie shares how God sustained her family through the ups and downs of infertility and domestic adoption, and how He faithfully built her family in His timing. One of the most touching parts of Katie’s story is her heart for birth mothers. This story gives a realistic but beautiful look at open adoption and how that process might unfold.

Through an unexpected health crisis, Tracy became increasingly aware of God being with her in all circumstances. As she began noticing all the specific and personal ways that God reveals Himself, her commitment and response to Him has significantly changed. If having a relationship with Jesus is new to you, or you just feel like you’re in a rut, and spending time with Him or opening your Bible seems more like routine or a chore, this story of Tracy's growing faith will spur you on.

Alieta, today’s storyteller, shares about her personal experience with chronic pain and depression. As she talks about what these struggles have looked like in her life, her story will not only resonate with many women, but it’s also a great reminder of God’s sufficient grace that He gives us daily to face whatever lies ahead, not with fear or despair, with hope. And even when we don't feel hopeful, we can rest in the truth that our Sovereign God is holding us and will never let us go.

When we’re going through the routines of daily life, we forget that one moment can suddenly shift and shape our entire future. Today’s storyteller, Holli, experienced a defining moment like this at the age of 16 when a child ran in front of her car while she was driving home. Holli shares the challenges of walking through such a traumatic incident as a teen, and how what she had come to believe about God helped her regain confidence, find her identity outside of the accident, and experience the depth of His love as the story continues to unfold even today.

Amy Grote (from Episode 20) and her mom, Lisa, share at the first gathering of our new branch - ST Live Bham 280. The common thread of their stories is a mingling of joy and grief. Amy and Lisa share how God prepared and sustained them through each season of loss, allowing them to embrace and celebrate the joyful moments. And even better, how He's "showed up and showed out," in Lisa’s words, to give them reassurance of His presence and love.

Recorded at the local gathering in Auburn, Alabama, Ashley's story covers everything from mental illness, loss of a loved one, and depression…. to infertility, adoption, and healing. It's more critical than ever to listen to the experiences of those affected by mental health conditions so we can better understand it and be more compassionate and supportive in our communities. While Ashley suffered loss and heartache, she also experienced the loving hand of God as He restored her hope and faith.

Rachel shares how her marriage hit rock bottom due to her husband’s addiction. But God’s miraculous grace can turn mess into healing and ministry, and that's exactly what He has done through Rachel and her husband's journey of faith, obedience, and commitment.

Our local gathering is taking a break until January, so today, we bring you a favorite story from last year. This storyteller is one of our very own team members, Lindy. Finding out she had breast cancer when her children were young brought her to a significant turning point. While the diagnosis was never life-threatening, it did forever alter Lindy's life as she knew it. Through it all, God changed her perspective and her priorities. Lindy's story is filled with humor, Jesus, and wisdom on life and motherhood. You don't want to miss this one!

Our storyteller today shares about the trauma of being sexually abused as a child… and not by a stranger, but by a family member. She has asked to remain anonymous on the podcast for the protection of her and her family's privacy. But she is adamant about spreading awareness of sexual abuse and encouraging parents to talk with their children so they’re educated about what types of touch, exposure, and situations are appropriate or inappropriate. This episode may sound heavy, and some of it is, but our storyteller also shares about the genuine healing the Lord has accomplished in her soul.

In her mid 20s, Stella experienced what is many women’s greatest fear… she was sexually assaulted by an intruder who broke into her home one morning. This is a story about healing, redemption, forgiveness, and the power of mercy.
