Bias has no place in divination, yet none of us are raised since birth as prognosticators. There is no school (like Hogwarts) where we are separated from the outside world so we can focus on our inner eye, ear, and senses. Our conscious awareness is cluttered with the duties of daily life and the joys and scars of past experience. In this lesson we show you how to counteract all of these facts and develop your skills through proper persistent tarot practice, after a bit of fun in the first few minutes.

After a quick discussion on tarot books we shifted the conversation to a new game Sharon invented. It is called "Interview" and you look at each card as a job applicant. This will take practice but this game will help you understand the "personality" of every tarot card so you can better understand its message in every spread you cast.
I asked Sharon and Iris today about their first tarot decks, and their favorite ones. Here are two real-world examples of how a good deck can enhance your reading ability while a poorly designed one (no matter how pretty) can give you poor results that you end up blaming yourself for.

A great tarot book will greatly accelerate how quickly you can learn and start getting paid, and the numerous bad ones (mostly the same old tripe) can seriously damage your confidence and ability. Sharon and I pretended to be "16 years old (again) and getting out first deck." We immersed ourselves in the experience and ended up developing a new exercise for absolute beginners at the tarot to help cut years off of your learning curve.
