In this episode, they look at an Avengers Annual guest starring the Fantactic Four. Over on 3rd Degree Byrne, the same group looks at a Fantastic Four Annual with a parallel story. Listen in and have some fun!
Happy New Year!! 2020 has been a tough year pretty much all around. The comics industry is no exception. So, Bill, Scott and Paul take a look at the releases of the past year, with some significant tangents, of course!
I think that we can all agree that 2020 was a year that had many moments to forget and not so many to remember. With Christmas here, Paul, Scott and Dr. Bill weren't in a jolly mood, so they vented a bit and picked a book with a less than happy yule. We do wish you all a Merry Christmas though!
Last week, Scott, Bill & Paul looked at the "Classic Comics" adaptation of Gulliver's Travels. This week, they take that a step further by looking at the semi-erotic re-imagined version of that story by Milo Manara. To make matters even more interesting, only Dr. Bill had access to the story in English, while Scott & Paul had it in French. (In case you're wondering, they have, at best, minimal knowledge of that language!) Listen in for the adventure!! Warning: the subject matter might be too much for youngins!
Scott said that we should be more cultured and look at a Classic Comic, so Bill and Paul came along to look Marvel's adaptation of Gulliver's Travels. But that's not all! This is the first part of a grand project that Scott has envisioned, so you'll have to wait for the payoff!
Yeah, we know that it's not Halloween, but Professor Alan came on with Bill and Paul and a horror themed episode just happened to fall in place. Kind of fitting for 2020 anyway. Enjoy!
Paul and Scott are joined by the other "True Freak", Chris Honeywell, to look at three random books. Chris' book is a Bicentennial Bombshell of Political Incorrectness and the freaks are ready to attack it head-on to their amusement! Oh, and Paul and Scott brought good books too. There's great conversation from beginning to end in this Freak Extravaganza!
Avengers Spotlight has been swallowed whole by Back to the Bins. Same quality (or lack thereof), just new numbering! This time out, Bill and Paul take a look at Avengers #20. Cap has been plummeting from that building for a looong time since they looked at #19. It's about time to see if he survives!
t's time for our long-awaited (kind of) third episode in the retrospective review of Marvel's Bronze Age Logan Run series by David Anthony Kraft, George Perez and Klaus Janson. Dr. Bill gets in on the action this time out along with Paul and Scott, Listen in, but be ready to run if you're 30 or over!
J.C. Vaughn has had a long and diverse career in the comic book industry. In today's episode, he stops by to shoot the breeze with Paul about various topics, including his new Kickstarter project. Listen in. It's a fun ride!
Happy Halloween! This week, Paul, the Poltergeist Producer is here with Count Scott-ula and Booberry Bill to look at three horror themed books for you holiday pleasure!. Listen in and enjoy
The Terminus Factor is continuing to ramp up and Paul, Scott and Bill take a look at the fourth entry, which was in West Coast Avengers Annual. This time out, Gene Hendricks joins the discussion to add his Quasar and Norse expertise to the mix!
Bill and Scott were otherwise engaged, so Paul took the time to welcome longtime comics fan Zaki Hassan (The Moviefilm Podcast & Nostalgia Theater), who wanted to discuss his longstanding love for Marvel's G.I. Joe books. Paul had no prior experience with these books, so it combines the points of view of a longtime fan and a newbie. Listen in and enjoy!
Paul and Scott continue their Thing-Hulk Retrospective with a look at a two part tussle that features the artwork of George Perez! How does it stack up and who wins? Listen in and find out!!
Paul, Scott and Bill take a look at the 3rd part in the Marvel Annual Cross-Over event of 1990! The Termini continue to build up steam and strength as Thor and Hercules enter the picture.
