Democracy at Work: A Cure for Capitalism by Richard D. Wolff, | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 194

We can do better than capitalism. Democracy at Work is a non-profit 501(c)3 that produces media and live events. Based on the book Democracy at Work: A Cure for Capitalism by Richard D. Wolff, our work analyzes capitalism critically as a systemic problem and advocates for democratizing workplaces as part of a systemic solution. We seek a stronger, fuller democracy – in our politics and culture as well as in our economy - based on workers’ equal collaboration and shared leadership inside enterprises and throughout society. "In the desert that is the mass media, Democracy@Work is an oasis that provides thoughtful, comprehensive and inspirational discussions. No matter the topic, Democracy@Work is the go-to source for “the other side of the coin.” - Dave P., d@w fan for 5 yrs about 1 year ago #democracy at work: a cure for

Alan Woods Marxist Socialist The Venezuelan Revolution: A Marxist Perspective | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3347

This book by Alan Woods is essential reading for all those who want to understand what is happening in Venezuela today. But this is no mere description of events. It is a powerful Marxist analysis of the Venezuelan Revolution, its weaknesses and strengths, its contradictions and unique characteristics. The book was not written with hindsight., Every chapter, beginning with the coup of April 2002, was written as the events themselves were unfolding, and traces the winding course of the revolution. They reflect the immediacy and lightning speed of events happening before our very eyes. Alan Woods has been a consistent champion of the Venezuelan Revolution since its inception. He helped initiate the Hands Off Venezuela Campaign. He has held personal discussions with Hugo Chavez, which are recounted in this book. The author concludes that the Venezuelan Revolution cannot stop half-way and holds up the perspective of a victorious socialist transformation. It explains that only by expropriating the power of the oligarchy could it succeed and spread to the rest of the continent. This analysis is thus incredibly pertinent given recent events in the country. circa un anno fa #the venezuelan revolution: a m

Timeless Arcadia. Treasure Myths and Legends Revealed.: An examination of Arcadian Treasure stories | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13439

A series of historical events seem to have been crafted after plot elements in Philip Sidney's book "Arcadia" that was first published in 1580. This examination may apply to the stories of Star Castle on the Isles of Scilly, the execution of Charles II, The English Civil War, Oak Island, and the Newport Tower to name a few. This book is a continuation of my last book "Oak Island and the Arcadian Mysteries." Given that each book stands on its own and may be read separately. Discussed here is a chronology of a value of the Arcadian theme and how many of the same family names and themes are repeated at Oak Island Nova Scotia, Shugborough Hall in England, and Rennes le Chateau in France.

Lee Lamb: Oak Island Treasure | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7109

Lee Lamb: Oak Island Treasure The Opperman Report' Edit Lee Lamb: Oak Island Treasure Info For 200 years people have sought the treasure buried on Oak Island on Canada’s East Coast. Bob Restall got his chance, but it ended in tragedy. A fabulous treasure lies buried deep within an island on Canada’s East Coast. Or so they say. For more than 200 years, treasure-hunters have come to Oak Island, spent fortunes, worked long and hard, and left empty-handed. When Bob Restall and his family got their chance to search for treasure on Oak Island, they believed they soon would succeed where others had failed. But the island resisted. For nearly six years the Restalls lived and laboured on Oak Island, spurred on by small successes and tantalizing clues. And then one August day, the Restall hunt for buried treasure came to a sudden and tragic end. Oak Island Family, written by Bob and Mildred Restall’s daughter, gives a clear account of Oak Islands strange history and the Restall family’s attempt to change it. Personal notes and more than 50 never-before-published photographs and sketches help make Oak Island Family an engrossing read. Anyone who loves mystery, adventure, and a good human interest story will enjoy this book.

About Jasun Horsley | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3205

Jasun Horsley spent his early life fleeing from a sense of unreality and has been trying to get to the bottom of it ever since. A childhood love of superheroes became an adolescent passion for movies and eventually transmogrified into an obsession with the occult. In forty-five years of earthly existence, he has been a New York barfly, a Hollywood wanna-be, a sorcerer-chaser in Mexico, an acid-eater on Haight-Ashbury. He had an End-Times community in Taos, was destitute in North Africa, begged in Paris, lived with Benedictine monks in France, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, had alien encounters in Navarra, apprenticed with a shaman in Guatemala, lost his mind in Columbia, made digital movies in London, edited a newspaper in Oaxaca, read Tarot in Portugal, saw UFOs in Patmos, ran an existential detective agency, and followed a guru in Canada. He is currently working with Dave Oshana and laying the groundwork for his next incarnation. While sure his life is fiction, he has yet to meet the author. He has written several books under the names Jake and Jason Horsley and Aeolus Kephas, and had a run of podcasts, "Stormy Weather" and "Warty Theorems." His official website is www.auticulture.com
