We're back and so excited for season two of the No Thanks We're Booked podcast! We want to know all of your favorite reads from 2018 and what you're most looking forward to reading in 2019. 

We dragged our husbands onto the podcast! If you can even hear us past all the laughter, we talked about Steve's and Aaron's reading taste, Mollie Mayhem and Katie Chaos moments, our favorite books and Thanksgiving sides (after much deliberation), and much more! Hi everyone! This was such a special episode for us because we got to hear some of YOUR favorite classics! Thanks to all our listeners who sent in audio clips. You inspired us to read new and revisit old classics! 

In today’s episode Mollie and Katie attempt to name their favorite books of all time. And they mostly accomplish it. But it’s hard when you’ve got favorites that span categories...should favorite children’s books be lumped in with favorite adult books? Should favorite fantasy be mixed in with favorite literary fiction? The struggle to pick favorite books is real, friends. The struggle is real. IT’S SO HARD.

Chatting with vlogbrothers cohost and debut author Hank Green was such a treat, friends! We talked about his new book, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, and the motivation behind it, what it was like working on it, what it has to say about power, internet fame, and how culture deals with the uncertain and unknown.  This is an important book, listeners, and we're so thankful to Hank for writing it (not to mention it's a total page-turner!). 

Today Mollie and Katie catch up a little bit about their busy summers before diving into talking about all things re-reads. We talk about all the reasons for re-reading and we mention a few of the books we’ve re-read ourselves. We even drop a Friends reference or two...because there’s a Friends reference for every situation in life. So says Katie, anyway.

In today’s episode, Kenzie, Mollie’s IRL friend, avid reader, and Special Education Teacher joins us to talk about disability representation in books. We discuss great books where the main characters have a disability, some not so great books, and we discuss the need for more disabilities represented across genres, and done well. Kenzie also loves Anne of Green Gables, so we gush about our favorite carrot top and try not to leave Mollie behind (who was four pages into reading the book while recording).
