TMS_S2E15 | The NBA, Like the NFL, Operates on a Plantation Business Model | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:47

The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E15 Show Notes:Both the NFL and NBA's anthem policies were adopted by white people for white people as a way to maintain America's status quo of not regarding blacks as full citizens and also to punish blacks whenever they challenge symbols of white supremacy. The NFL and NBA's operational business model are more similar than different in that whites occupy most of the semi-permanent high-paying positions, while blacks are clustered at the bottom. The primary difference between the NFL and NBA is that the NBA is more culturally competent and knows how to placate its labor force with the right incentives so as to keep them in line. Sources for this episode: "Official Rules of the National Basketball Association." "Warriors' Steve Kerr slams NFL's new anthem policy" by Kyle Boone. "Clippers owner Sterling banned for life by the NBA." "PRO BASKETBALL;Abdul-Rauf Is Calm In Face of Controversy" by Jason Diamos. "The revival of Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf" by Mark Fainaru-Wada.  TMS_S2E13 | The NFL Plantation: A New Master Class Ownership | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 18:28

The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E13 Show Notes:Josiah discusses whether the National Football League (NFL) anthem policy for 2018, which forces players to stand for the National Anthem, violates players' constitutional rights. The NFL new anthem policy was adopted not because the NFL team owners are patriotic, but because the NFL team owners want to protect their bottom line. The NFL should not be allowed to require, compel, coerce, harass, or badger its players into silence in the face of widespread injustice and oppression. Injustice against Black Americans is an injustice against the voices, stories, and histories of all Americans.  TMS_S2E10 | The NRA is a Terrorist Organization | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 21:47

The Mindfullness Show is written and produced by Josiah Samuel Harry. Music by Josiah Harry, Jr. S2E10 Show Notes: A person who truly values life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, will not support a terrorist organization; namely, the National Rifle Association. Citizens who support the National Rifle Association (NRA) never imagined the NRA would one day be responsible and complicit in their children's deaths. The NRA operates with impunity and is allowed sovereignty on US soil because the NRA is a majority white, Christian organization. Citizens who love this country ought to band together to put an end to the NRA and NRA-sponsored terrorism. America's future is imperiled every time there is an attack on our children. ----more----Thank you for making The Mindfullness Show a part of your weekday listening experience.
