Patience will be rewarded, friends, and boy were we patient! Things are a little bit brighter here in the neighborhood as we discuss episode 24 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. An era comes to a close, we make a new friend, Hikaru continues to be the absolute worst, and our hosts confront their own mortality. The future is bright!

Terrace Neighbors officially turns one year old this week and yet we’re still trapped within the purgatorial hellscape that has become Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. Arman does some soul-searching, Uchi takes the world’s longest stress nap, and things become Flirty in a way that no one should be comfortable with. Everyone needs to just go to bed!!!!!

This week’s episode is a short one, friends, because discussing the meat incident comes at a price that no man should have to pay. It’s episode 22 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City! Not a single person makes a good decision. That’s it. That’s the episode.

It’s our twentieth episode, and we completely forgot to get ourselves anything! In fact, there is absolutely no fun or excitement or festivity to be found this week as we discuss episode 21 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. Natsumi continues to be great at making friends, Uchi changes allegiances, and Taylor gets various pets involved in the discussion. Take a seat, we have some things to discuss – as a family.

We had a good run, friends, we really did, but we all knew we’d have to face the harsh realities of life someday. This week, we say goodbye to the idealistic naivety of youth as we discuss episode 20 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. Arman finally gets a job, Hikaru alarms us, and Natsumi decides to burn bridges before she’s even had a chance to cross. Real fun episode, you guys.

It’s out with the old, in with the new here in the neighborhood as we begin the second half of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. And boy, do we have a lot of ground to cover, holidays to speed run, and new friends to embrace. The Armanisa (we’ll workshop it) romance comes to a head, Taylor sings, and a new face learns about doorbells for the first time. We can tell, 2016 is really gonna be our year.

Dig out your rattiest college sweatshirt, prepare your most boring anecdotes, and get your ghosting finger ready, because it’s time for some bad dates! This week, it’s all about the pitfalls of romance as we discuss episode 18 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. Christmas is fast approaching, Minori and Uchi FINALLY put on their Grown-up Pants, and Arman looks deep into the eyes of death, and by gum, if death doesn’t look him in the eyes back.

The first act of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City is coming to a close as we discuss episode 17, and important questions are finally being asked this week. Will Uchi and Minori’s love stand the test of time? What will Mizuki and Yuki do next? Why do all these city kids have driver’s licenses? We don’t really get clear answers, but Arman does punch some people! That should tide us over for the time being.

The world is made up of losers and winners, kid, and the only thing that decides where you end up is how badly you want it. Alphas and betas, my child, alphas and betas. This week, we’re discussing episode 16, and the line between the two has been drawn. Yuki makes a last-ditch effort, Arisa wields the power of a wholesale juggernaut, and Mizuki settles into her role as “best friend” in this romcom posing as reality television. It's a quiet week here in the neighborhood, a little break after the emotional turmoil of last episode, as we discuss episode 15 of Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City. Every good story needs contemplative scenes between the action, and this is indeed a week of contemplation. Mizuki does some soul-searching, our hosts face old age hurtling toward them, and Uchi/Minori have an important talk, presumably before fading into the Void, because we cannot dedicate anymore of our lives to this relationship!!!!!

It’s a new year for the Terrace Neighborhood and it’s looking like the big changes are already coming as we discuss episode fourteen of Terrace House: Boys and Girls in the City! Uchi and Minori try to figure out human communication, a new love triangle arises, and a sacred food institution is revealed to be a double-edged sword. Frankly, everything about this episode is disgusting.

It’s a particularly bittersweet week in the Terrace Neighborhood as we discuss episode thirteen of Terrace House: Boys and Girls in the City. Yuriko cries in public, Uchi gets roasted (again), a new face joins the house, and our hosts discuss exams they’ve taken recently, because they live luxurious and exciting lives.

Hop into our time machine, dear listener, and travel back with us to pre-hiatus October, when the spooks were plentiful and the treats were tricking. This week, we discuss episode twelve of Terrace House: Boys and Girls in the City, and it’s a particularly relatable one. Uchi experiences the pitfalls of dating, Arman gets the fun parts, and Taylor continues her convoluted lecture series with a quick rundown of Japanese history. We’re back baybee.

We’re back from hiatus with a special episode for you all! It’s a holiday weekend, so we’ve decided to celebrate the greatest holiday tradition: getting drunk and rambling for way too long about obscure interests! We brought up the idea of doing a special episode about the Kojiki early on in Terrace Neighbors, and you all said we should, and now we have! There is absolutely no mention of Terrace House, though, but we all know that people just listen to podcasts for the tangents.
