Greg Jones of Authentic Athlete shares his story of leaving home for a football adventure that turned into an opportunity to lead and learn as an officer in the Navy. His path took yet another turn with an unplanned early exit from the military requiring him to not only seek employment but learn how to make this transition efficiently and effectively.

Sean’s initial career aspirations take a dramatic turn following his first deployment and the events of 9/11. The boldness and scope of this mission is rooted in Jake’s experience in combat as a special forces operator where he witnessed how terrorist organizations were able to capitalize on the desperation of those they ruled over. In this podcast Jake recounts his tentative path to the US Naval Academy, the joys and challenges of being in the special forces, and a transition out of the military that included a few curve balls.
