Kevin is back for his first episode since returning from New York City. Sully is happy to have him back and the boys have a lot to talk about. Kevin starts off by bringing up his first days at Fort Totten, the FDNY base for Fire Officer training. The first night he got there, he got a look at his new "home" for a month, and met all of the people he would be in class with. He had guys from Albany, New Rochelle, Yonkers, North Tonawanda, Auburn, Glens Falls, Cohoes, Watervaliet, Westchester and Henrietta with him. Kevin said all the guys were great people and they're really what held the class together. They encountered some different times, because they didn't have an "RA" for about a week and a half, normally there are 2 assigned to the FLSTP's (First Line Supervisors Training Program) class. They got let out of class on multiple occasions much later than they were required, and a few more things. The guys leaned on each other a bit through humor (go figure), busting balls, and just relaxing and enjoying the experience. They took a few "field trips" to the Empire State Building, World Trade Center Memorial, Citi Field (Home of the Mets), Yankee Stadium, and FDNY Marine 1, the fire boat. They had dinner as a class at Lombardi's (Pizza) in downtown Manhattan, as well as, Toni DiNapoli's (Italian) in Times Square. For a normal dinner, there was a "chow hall" on the fort where they could eat for free. Every single meal had carrots in it.... which, made them decide to cook out for themselves one night. They had some drinks, played some corn hole and got to know each other more on that fun night. All in all, Kevin said it was a memorable experience that he was fortunate to be a part of. However, when asked if he would do it again, he replied back quickly... "Oh hell no."

For their latest episode, Kevin was in FDNY for promotional training.. so, Crystal and Sully took full advantage of having the show to themselves for the first time ever. Hence the title, "When the Cats Away, the Mice Will Play."Sully and Crystal haven't talked in some time, because of Crystal's work schedule. So they fire things up by catching up on what each other has been up to. Crystal went to "Stagecoach" which is a HUGE country music festival in Southern California. Sully has been working his ass off but had time to squeeze in a weeks vacation in Florida. Because of their recent travels, they talk about air travel. The good, the bad and the ugly of air travel. Ever get seated next to that crazy person on the plane? Or how about the crying baby? (Crystal would usually help single mom's with them). Air travel is never usually fun, but these two have a good time talking about it, and were sure you'll be able to relate in many ways.The wrap up busting Kevin's balls, again. Calling him an old man, and there was no way Kevin would have stayed up this late to record without getting grumpy. We're sure Kevin will have some fun with this on future episodes, wink wink. Sully's favorite was Jersey Shore when it aired, probably because of the fact that it was a complete train wreck.They talk about when Reality TV actually began, which was further back than you can probably imagine.. Game shows are technically considered Reality TV and those became popular back in the 1950's. Whether you're into them or not, you'll surely enjoy this episode with our newest co-host!

Famous Death Row Inmate, Nick Yarris, comes to Hellbound with Halos for one of the most gripping and powerful episodes to date. Nick Yarris is a writer and professional speaker who spent 22 years on death row after being wrongly convicted of murder. His books 'The Fear Of 13, Countdown To Execution' as well as 'The Kindness Approach' are available on Amazon and via http://nickyarris.orgNick talks about how his Joe Rogan Experience appearance was one of his worst appearances after his release. He apologizes to Kevin & Sully for it and doing a disservice to all the listeners that heard it. Kevin doesn't understand why he feels that way and disagree's with Nick. Kevin tells him that it touched more people than he probably will ever realize and it's the emotion that connects his story with people. Nick accepts Kevin's theory however, he says he was set up prior to the Joe Rogan Podcast and was lied to by an acquaintance to the assistant of Steadman Graham (Oprah Winfrey's partner). He explained that this man lied to him, that Steadman knew of Nick, and was blown away by his story. That was the lie. Steadman Graham knew nothing of Nick Yarris, and when they met, Nick had to introduce himself and explain his story. This took Nick by such surprise that he left the meeting abruptly, and went back to his hotel. Stewing all night, Nick was disheveled. Nick discusses how that played a huge role on his emotional interview on Rogan's podcast. He say's he was "all over the place" in the interview and wasn't able to tell his story appropriately. This is the first chance he's had to do that since the Joe Rogan Experience appearance. Kevin & Sully were awestruck by some of Nick's chilling stories. From stealing money and cars, to winding up in California at the age of 17, to being wrongly convicted of rape and murder, which was the ultimate reason he landed on death row. Nick discusses the deep thoughts he had while sitting in his cell, and what he learned from the thousands of books he read over the 22 year journey. He is a very well spoken man, with a heart bigger than life itself. He has a wife, Laura and 2 daughters that currently live with him. They reside in Oregon.

Kevin & Sully invited Samuel Whitehill to the podcast to talk about what movies he has been in and what to look forward to seeing him in. Samuel grew up in Texas and obtained his law degree at Texas Tech. He moved to Washington, DC when his wife obtained a job there and starting working with the FCC. From there, they moved to California and bought a home in 2015. He wanted to continue to pursue his dream of acting, and that he did. Over the last 3 years, Samuel has been in over 130 films/tv/commercials and starred in the primary role on "Rolling in the Deep", a short film that has won over 20 awards in the industry. Crystal is back with the boys! Because of her job and boys, it's been difficult to have her join them week in and week out, but it's always nice to hear her back in an episode.What do you think about when it comes to future technology? Smart glasses, implantable nanotechnology and even trips to Mars come up a lot. Do you fear it, or are you excited for it? Kevin brings up a few interesting tech advances that we may see in the near future, and Sully reminds him that the first smart glasses ruined peoples vision. None of them would take a trip to space. Crystal is good with her ass on the ground, Sully can't travel to Mexico without having paranoia and Kevin thinks an airplane is enough for travel. Officer Ashley Smith (of Instagram fame) and Lauren The Hot Cop join Kevin & Sully for this wild ride. This is Lauren's second appearance on the podcast, as she has great flow with the boys. It's Ashley's first time, but you'd never know it with how animated she is. We hear a few stories from their travels across the country this year and last. They went together to the "Shot Show" in Las Vegas. The Shot Show is an annual trade show for the shooting, hunting, and firearms industry. Ashley went to the Arnold Fitness Expo in Columbus, OH and Lauren's stories from police week in Washington, DC. These two are hilarious together and the boys had some fun of course. Kevin asks Lauren about her Wiccan religion and being a "witch". Believe it or not, Wiccan is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists. Lauren insists she's a good witch and has stood in her yard naked, to charge her crystals before. She promotes positivity and believes that what you put out, you get back. Ashley talks about the Arnold and shares some stories from that, but one of the funniest stories comes out of their recent trip to the Shot Show. Ashley brings up Lauren's sleep sounds app, and how she needs the volume up all the way. Lauren insists that "rain on a tent" is the best way to fall asleep, however, it kept Ashley up. But during this time, Ashley learned all about Lauren's ways in following the Wiccan religion and was quite intrigued.As we said earlier, this episode takes a lot of twists and turns, and it's guaranteed to have you laughing throughout.
