BioFrom an early age, Dallas-native IMAJ knew he was destined to make a musical impact on the world.Born LaDarrion Darnell and the oldest of six kids, IMAJ began honing his craft at the age of 12.The multitalented threat was exposed to soul music often when going to church with his grandfather.Sharing a bed and a bedroom with his younger brother, he used music as an escape. He would sing to himself self and write lyrics about how he was feeling. His inspiration comes from the likes of Michael Jackson, Static Major, and Tank. He learned the building blocks to composition and songwriting which would later prove bene cial. In high school, IMAJ vied to help his mother and family by picking up jobs at Liberty Tax and Casino Restaurant, all the while playing basketball and football for his high school teams. After discovering he had kidney stones, Imaj hung up his jerseys and decided to no longer play. In an attempt to please his mother, IMAJ attended college but made the di cult decision to pursue music full-time.Starting o , IMAJ released a plethora of songs on his own until he caught the attention of Rudy “Coach” Flores, a Grammy-nominated CEO & Dallas Tastemaker “Spank” G. You would scarcely find a friendlier or more affectionate and compassionate Ministry Leader than Isabel – always ready to provide the sincerest greeting, wrapped up in the warmest, most vigorous hug. “I know I’m called to help God’s people through Praise and Worship,” Isabel speaks of God’s calling on her life. “I’m passionate about introducing Jesus Christ to people through an encounter in His presence. I find fulfillment in seeing the people of God go to the next level or be refreshed because of a song or a word that He has given me for them.” Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas to Andre and Isabel Fredericks and having been the second of four children, Isabel grew up singing at Christian World Worship Center SA, under the leadership of Pastor Michael and Rhonda Sides. It was there that she was given the opportunity and platform to develop her gift and ministry, and in 2006, she was elevated to the position of Worship Pastor. They are known as the World Rejects.The World Rejects, then an eight-member group, set their city ablaze in 2013 with release of their first mixtape “Reject Familia.” The project garnered a massive wave of grassroots support which helped the group win NGEN Radio’s “Big Break” contest, securing a spot to open for Andy Mineo at Houston’s popular Discovery Green venue. The World Rejects followed up with tour stops in Dallas, Midland/Odessa, and Austin where the group was selected to perform at the acclaimed SXSW Kingdom Experience. Members’ Phyre and Adrian Angelo have since released solo projects, both curated by BeatKaso, which have been well received by their loyal fan base.
