In Week 1 of our "Have You Heard" series, we're talking about how the Sermon on the Mount shows us how to live our lives, leading us to the question: "what would people say Christianity is like if they used me as an example?"
In this week's sermon, Wags talks about where we should be looking for perspective and hope- and we're asking the question, "how much would other people's lives change this year if you achieved all of your New Year's resolutions?"
Some quick thoughts from Wags as we take time off to ring in 2019.
This Christmas Eve we're learning about a concept absolutely vital to our faith. That concept is Grace.
Are we measuring God's power by our own limited understanding? This week, we're talking about believing in the power and promises of God, ultimately leading us to one single truth: real love requires real sacrifice.
Do we see life with Jesus as transactional or transformative? In week 3 of our "Can I Get A Witness?" series, we're talking about how we need to be Kingdom-minded and cultivate the right soil in our lives.

This past Sunday was our Share Offering and our focus was on generosity. We said that generosity is transcendent, is an indicator of mature faith and increases our trust in Jesus. In the end we want to live in this constant challenge of "What if." What if we could give away 3 million dollars to partners? What if we could take care of the projects at one of the city elementary schools? What if we had the most incredible area for kids with special needs? So many what if statements that we could use but it requires us to come together and be generous.
In the final week of the “Not Today, Devil” series we took some time to think about how there is something larger at play. We can’t ignore the realities of spiritual warfare that are out there and how that impacts the world around us. As Paul writes in Ephesians 6, there is a way that we can prepare ourselves to be able to stay alert and stand firm.
In week 2 of the series we dug into the story of temptation between the Devil and Jesus in Luke 4. It is certainly a familiar story but is laced with so many layers that tie into Israel's history of 40 years in the wilderness, the humanity of Jesus and ultimately what it takes to look temptation in the eye and say "No!" The key points were to temptations test our obedience, temptations can help shape our voice and temptations show us how much we need the Spirit.
When we ignore the source of our temptations we ignite the wrong desires.
Special guest speaker Lacy Wagler brings us some inspiring thoughts on showing up for community.
Guest speaker Darrin Patrick brings us a message on spiritual growth and the fruit of the spirit!
