The Rose Church

Have you ever been scared of something that you hear but once you find out where it’s coming from you’re relieved? Often times it turns out that were not scared of the noise itself; we’re scared of the uncertainty. Maybe to you the world we live in right now feels uncertain, and noisy but what would we discover if when we dug a little deeper into the uncertainty? Would we discover the sound of lostness? The sound of people crying out for help? What is the people that were crying out were in our house? Pastor Andrew Damazio challenges us with a message “What Is That Sound?” as we look at Luke 15 and the Parables of the lost sheep, coin and the son and how we hear the sound of lostness in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Often times as Christians we spend our whole lives focused on what we’re not given, we look at what other people have, rather than stewarding what we have been given. But what happens when we turn our focus to the Giver and not just the gift? This Sunday Pastor Andrew Damazio continues our series The Kingdom of Heaven with a message on forgiveness titled; “The Gift You Give Yourself.” We often times believe that forgiveness is a gift that we give someone else, but what if it’s actually a gift that we give ourselves. What does it mean to live as ambassadors of Heaven? What does forgiveness look like in the Kingdom of Heaven? Listen as we explore the Parable of the Unforgiving Debtor in Matthew 18 and learn how to be be quick to forgive and live lives full of mercy, not because of anything that we can do, but what God has done for us.
