Session 4: Dialogical Preaching This session will examine in greater detail the contemporary trend of dialogical preaching. Pastors will consider the theology that guides this style of preaching and then examine a wide variety of ways in which dialogical preaching can foster a more vibrant ministry of the word in a congregation.

Session 3: Transformational Preaching — Narrative This session will examine in greater detail the contemporary trend of narrative preaching. We will consider the development of a storied sermon moving from the art of reading the stories of Scripture to the art of preaching them.

Session 2: Kerygmatic Preaching This session will examine in greater detail the art of integrating law and gospel into preaching. We will consider contemporary challenges to law/gospel proclamation and the fundamentals that guide our proclamation of Christ.

Session 1: An Overview of Recent Trends in Preaching This session will offer an overview of the varied practices of contemporary preaching: confessional preaching; kerygmatic preaching; transformational preaching; and dialogical preaching.
