Selfies seem harmless enough, but I'm starting to wonder how our selfie-obession might be changing how we relate to one another. For example, the more filtered our lives become - the more we show others only the "me" we want them to see -the more difficult we have Revealing Authenticity. One recent study link alarming increase in plastic surgery to patients desire to get the perfect selfie. So how do we find the courage to remove our veils, reveal the truth about ourselves, and experince the freedom to be ourselves? So many of us are trying to get "there", wherever "there"" might be. But when we get there, we're not ready for it. Whatever god has planned we need to get prepared for it. When we finally get there, we need to be ready. We need to ready for those unexpected moments when we're called to elevate, those moments so much bigger than we are that we can hardly breathe. We must be Battle Ready. That you are prepared for the great fight. You will shoot every arrow. And when your bow is done, you will take that last arrow in your hand, and with your last breath and all your strength left within you- you will strike, you will strike, and you will strike. If you don't know what you want, then God's trying to give you what he wants for you is a wasted effort. So often you blame God for the life you have, but you do not know what life you want. When God has your heart, you can trust your desires. His will is not a map; it is a match. He shows you the way by setting you on fire. You will know God's desire for you by the fire in you! The fire in you will light the way. To live a life in which you War Against Average, where you never settle for less, you have to Know What You Want. And when you know what you want, you have to muster up the courage and faith to pursue it with all your might.
