Overwatch League Recap

The stage 2 break is almost over, and stage 3 is almost upon us! The Rosters continue to shake up as we approach the new stage, with a lot of teams ready to take on the competition head-on. Will stage 3 see the rice of new stars? Or will NYXL continue to dominate? Catch up with the gang and get ready to watch some OWL! 

Stage 2 finals have concluded, crowning NYXL with the title, but not without a fight from the Fusion! In this episode, Bob and Andres hold down the fort while Mel is out of town, and dig in into the exciting stage 2 final! The league continues to unravel as we head into stage 3, stay up to date with us!

In today's Overwatch League Recap, we go through the results of Week 2, where things are starting to mix up a bit! Fusion and Outlaws are having a power struggle as they both are tied in their overall results. Dynasty seems to be coming back to life as they remain undefeated on stage two, while Spitfire and NYXL are looking as strong as ever! Week one of Stage two concludes with some incredible matches that are starting to set the tone of whats to come. On the last two days, we got to see a rematch of our Stage 1 finals, Spitfire vs Excelsior, where the team from London solidifies themselves as the top dog! Philly Fusion continues to trample their opponents with their new acquisition EQO, and Uprising falls under the coordinated strategies from the Outlaws. Catch it all here with us!

Kicking things off for Stage 2, we bring you the recaps for the first two days hot off the oven! Starting the week with some wild results, the second stage of the league is already looking promising! We are back from LA and after a battle with intense Jet Lag, we are finally able to bring you our recap of the Stage 1 Finals! After an intense day of matches, London Spitfire manages to come back and emerge as the winner of the $100,000 prize! Join Juston, Mel, Bob and Andres as they dissect the finals from their perspective.

Juston and Andres got to catch up with BabyBay at the Blizzard Arena right after their amazing match against Soul Dynasty. Now a household name for the SF Shock, BabyBay talked to us about his performance, new upcoming stage and the #babybaychallenge!

In this interview from the ground floor at the Blizzard Arena, Juston catches up with Harsha Bandi, coach for the SF Shock. Bandi opens up about his thoughts on the team, the new incoming meta and who he thinks is going to win Stage One!

As Week 4 comes to a conclusion it is clear that the NYXL and the Spitfire are making to the stage one finals. Who will the other two teams be? Dynasty, Uprising, Outlaws, Valiant and Fusion are still in the running! An exciting setup for week 5, where we will be on the ground floor covering the league live at the Blizzard Arena!

During his trip to the Blizzard Arena, Juston was able to get a hold of Star DPS player for the LA Gladiators, Lane Roberts aka "Surefour". Lane opened up about other players he looks up to in the league, and the big pressure playing many different heroes puts on him. It was a pleasure talking to Lane and we are excited to see him perform next week!
